Wicked stuff! Astrontrain is a must for me....but I\'m a bit lost; why his Earth modes? Isn\'t the story line still supposed to be on Cybertron?

YES,yes,yes a THOUSAND times yes Apeface, but WHERE'S my Snapdragon i miss him in here. I'm a big time lover of Snapdragon,Apeface. The Astrotrain needs a COW CATCHER like I've seen pictures of him before in having. Spinster oh yeah but I'm confused on the image of legs cause they both have sealed cockpits on both legs so not sure what that's about. The other eh,.....i'll get it cause it is part of the series that fits my collection.

 

I believe hasbro is going for both an 80s feel and a cybertroian feel at the same time.

Example - Sideswipe looks like a Cybertroian Sports car but at the same time has hints of his earth mode mixed in.

 

Its basically line for line the toon colors. What colors did you think they were dude?

I think it's more that we already got a Cybertronian Astrotrain in Titans Return. This is the Earth mode.
People didn't like that Astrotrain didn't have a steam train OR a space shuttle mode, and if they'd gone with a Cybertronian mode again, the same complaints would be raised.

Anyway, if Sideswipe can still be a sports car and Optimus can still be a Mack truck, I don't see the harm in a Cybertronian steam engine.

I'm down for Blurr but pretty happy with TR Wierdwolf especially since I modded him to have a nice ab-crunch.

He's one of a handful of TR figures that I really like. I'd probably be okay with Blurr too if he had the Takara paint scheme. To each their own though, since they are revisiting characters hopefully we'll both get at least one update we want.

It's his original color scheme. Not even Botcon gave us that.

 

I like the look of Astrotrain, but i'm not down with paying the leader class price just because he comes with five weapons; Just give me one gun and stick with the voyager price point.

I wonder how they'll shoehorn AF's headmaster form in Siege as Siege is pre Earth war. Minor quibbles

Astrotrain, can he be retooled to Galaxy Shuttle?

Spinister is also a fine addition. (If this was pre unification, we'd be sure to expect JP animation accuracy (especially Crosshairs)

 

Pleased that you like it. Reading all the comments, most folks seem to like it.
I'll have to see some actual shots and a few reviews before I fully make my mind up, but not feeling it yet.
Spinister (love that name) and Apeface look great. Not sure about Crosshairs. I still think that the whole Seige line is the best that Hasbro has done in a long time, so much so that I've bought quite a few, and I don't usually buy chug-style lines.
