Are the joints on this version tighter than the red one?

Couple of other pics, including against POTP for scale. He’s pretty tall, but it’s the width that makes him cumbersome. The wings really look magnificent, and he poses quite nicely. Still need to transform him; I’ve been away all weekend so hopefully tonight.

With respect to the joints, he feels extremely stable overall, with the exception of the arm with the dragon head on it, which is heavy and may be more difficult to pose. Granted, I haven’t tested all limb positions yet.

Alright double post but who cares. I just transformed him for the first time and there is only one word for that alt mode: WOW!

I went from being pretty happy with the purchase to utterly thrilled. He is magnificent (granted, I don’t own Mega Dorogan). The transformation is relatively complex and took the best part of an hour with instructions and a video. Even now, his neck isn’t tabbed in correctly so I’ll have to try again next week. But he looks unbelievable. Easily one of my most impressive and enjoyable transformers. He’s got his own (slightly crooked) shelf, and he deserves it.

I’d put him more or less on a par with MP BW Megs. I enjoy Megs’ robot mode a bit more and they have equally fiddly transformations (Megs is worse) but ultimately magnificent. Pics are below. They don’t really do him justice, and I’m sure people will take much better ones.

Anyone interested in this guy for 165 shipped in ConUSA?

I have both this and the red one and I've decided to just keep the later. This guy has only been opened for inspection i.e. some people have complained about loose wings and mine is ok.

Got mine this week, just transformed him tonight---had to tighten one loose "feather" but overall good.

Anyways----tabbing the chest plate to the belly plate in dragon mode----that's more of an "it works in theory" thing, right? Because there's just no way those two bits are staying together----it's a tiny tab, too short in both length and height to fill the slot, and the only way to get the chest plate touching the belly plate, is to pretty much untab all the other main tabs around the neck. (I totally re-did the neck again to check, and I'm pretty sure I have it right). As it is, I have a gap of about 1/8in between top of belly plate and bottom of chest plate, in dragon mode.

I had the same problem, it meant that the ratchets in the shoulders and arms needed to be aligned more properly in his dragon neck. One of those thing that you just have to mess with for a bit, it wasn't fun to align but it will eventually sit better.

Like, make sure everything is perfectly "square" (all rotations exactly 90 and 180 etc), or is it the opposite, and the "perfect fit" is some odd 84-176-93 combo of turns? (I find the first "rotating" joint right behind the dragon neck to be stiff to rotate, I often end up accidentally rotating the joint next to it because of that, trying to position it).

:edit: You said ratchets----literally the ratchets? That narrows it down a lot.

It's pretty close to 90/180, etc, with the flat edges of the shoulder ratchets squared up with the flat edge of the back of his neck. It took a bit of messing with him and I just now realized the back of his dragon neck won't tab in like that, it's one of those transformations where you're just going to have to be happy with something not being quite right. EDIT, and yes, the shoulder ratchets should be parallel to the back of the neck.

That definitely could be what Sub-Zero's mouth guard looks like.

Is that attachment on his dragon arm a part of the toy? I really haven't seen much of the repaint.

I have the red one and it's amazing, the bot mode face on this one looks cool enough for me to consider getting it.

Yes, it is an extra part included. You can either have the original mold dragon face or add the extra part.

Just be sure not to lose the little nose replacement piece when you swap!

Had anyone had issue with his right arm armor/dragon belly stuck and not moving? I tried transforming it but it seems stuck in there.
