Zero mold detail similarities.

 

Except none of the molded details match. The shoulder, biceps and forearms are differently shaped.

 

They have absolutely nothing in common.

 

It might be an crazy theory but... Maybe the other cockpit winds up being in the bottom of the helicopter mode.

 

Astrotrain don’t look much different from his generation one toy all it looks is upscale more expensive for toy itself it’s almost exact duplicate in shuttle , and train mode but his mode is Simaler to his titan class voyager toy in his bot mode

 

Oh man. I had my reservations on a Leader Astrotrain, especially when you consider that his triple change would be due to parts forming like Shockwave, but he looks a-frickin-mazing.

Maybe you right, however they have the same construction of articulation in those areas. Starcscream hips are unusual after all.

 

Honestly, it’s not as complicated as everyone thinks.

 

It's rare for a figure to progressively go up in size class. Jetfire went from Voyager to Leader to Commander, and now Astrotrain has gone from Deluxe to Voyager to Leader.

To be fair I still love his old Deluxe. The Japanese bullet train alt mode was actually kinda cool

At first I thought you were making stuff up. But then I checked and you’re right! So odd.

 

Astrotrain is such a "warts-and-all" G1 figure (right down to the shuttle wearing a giant tent) it's making my eyes bleed.

Spinister looks creative; the feet become the wings, the right leg becomes the actual cockpit, and the left leg cockpit just hangs out underneath the alt mode? Okee dokee.
