I got tickets for tomorrow around 2:15. Right after Toy Story 4 in 3D i go straight into this. From friendly toys to a killer toy.
Why did his battery never run out what kind of tech do they have in their universe what the fuck. Aubrey Plaza was the only real highlight of this movie, Chucky is scarier as a supernatural entity than as a programming anomaly.
M arkham ill slaya me as chucky The poor kid robot doll never asked to have his programming corrupted by the toy factory tech team Never asked to be corrupted by the kids desnsitized violence and hunger for blood and gore splatterfest horror Chucky reakly struck a chord with me He wants only to he a friend Hes a lot like a puppy in his innocent state he only. Wants to be a friend to love and to be appreciated and loved in return This version of chucky being the innocent robot child corrupted and molested by the will of others basically In a radically differant situation storyline wise i could see this version ..of chucky being raised up right to be a right decent sort of petson by a childless couple having taught him all about humanity what it meams to be human . Essentually the couple raising him up in the secluded wilderness as their child and their sonthis version of chucky very nuch living his life growing to be a right decebt respectable family man type of guy in his way Though tragedy would evwntually rear its ugly head i ..his life with his human parents tragic passing .Putting.him on a collision course with discover his own inner darkness as a sentient technological humanoid Think milinium man with elements of the filn A. I. His going down a path of darkness for a. Time but ultimately seeking redemption once he fidns someone in his life worthing dyi g for as ffriends
What a wonderful film this was. Sure, it was a terrible horror film, that wasn't scary or even creepy at all, but wow did Mark Hamill really do well with the evil doll thing. Absolutely loved his performance. Especially the song he sang at the end credits.
The guy has incredible range way he went voicing chucky at opposite extremes emotionally wow Mark should audition as megatron somerime holy freaking shit could you just imagine the emotional range for that folks?
Yea, Mark Hamill is a fantastic voice actor. But, Megatron is a bit too, always-evil for Mark. Mark is better off as villains who are a lot more cunning than Megatron is. He'd be better off as someone far more manipulative than Megatron. Like, Starscream.
Ok i had a thought and want to know if anyone else had it. In the scene where the kids wrap the face on a watermelon up in the wrapping paper, the mom catches them carrying it out. Andy tells her it is a present for the elderly black neighbor. Mom goes with him to see him give it to her. Anyone else expect her to peel back the paper, see a watermelon (the face on the other side) and think he was racist? Andy is a fairly good kid. I thought this would take a dark turn. I only thought that because of the watermelon. If it was a pumpkin, i would not think that.. But the watermelon made me expect an old horrible racist stereotype.
We considered going to see this this weekend, but all of the theaters but one stopped showing it today and the only one near me that is still showing it is only doing 10PM showings. No thanks. We'll just wait to rent it.
I enjoyed it, but I'll still take Voodoo Curse Chucky over Black Mirror Chucky. Hope the show is still gonna happen.
Saw it today with my mom and really enjoyed it. What's funny is that all of the theaters near me have already dropped it down to two showings a day so it must not be doing to good with the horror audiences and I kind of get it. I loved the movie and thought it was an enjoyable little film. Frankly, though, it wasn't much of a horror film... not for me anyways as I found myself laughing (in a good way) through most of it. That said it was fun and I really liked the IA take on it over the whole voodoo curse stuff from the original. That said; I would probably go full on murderous bastard if I had a robot/toy that would kill for me. "Hey Chucky, see that bastard over there?" "Yeah friend?" "He was mean to me. Go cut his nuts off." Probably for the best I never come into the possession of a homicidal robot...
