    So street dates are BS.
But don't try to scan one for the other.

    Good to know.

Just picked up Blackjack and Hyperdrive, at the first colonial target on my lunch break. Picked up Brunt and Red Alert yesterday. I have a feeling Refraktor is going to be a pain to find for a while, since id imagine hardly anyone is buying just one. Why they decided to do 2 to a case makes no sense to me.

At the Walmart on Sheila Lane in RVA, there's one of that re-issue Star Wars 6" (archive series?) Boba Fett, BUT there are like 300 dead flies inside the bubble. It appears to be sealed.

I took some pics but they were deleted, if I see it again I'll get some more. Weirdest thing I've ever seen in a toy aisle.

Figure appears to be ok, if anyone wants it and wants to wash it after opening

Nothing significant enough to note for Mosaic Target other than an entire case of Wave 1 Botbot Blind packs.

I won't deny having done the "scan one item twice" thing. That's how I got my siege leader Optimus recently, but only after I tried to legit scan and purchase one by itself at another store...that was on the shelf, with a price tag, open to the public....for sale...., and a small "scene" was had when I attempted to check out. In that particular instance I scanned said optimus , knowing full well that that item comes in a case with shockwave..which I purchased a while ago, why would I think his casemate wouldn't be for sale...this is when I learned about "streetdating"...I get it for movies and music....but toys? (insert scarcastic "makes perfect sense" here). The last thing I want is a scene, in a target', me being all "angry white boy biker looking" and all, lol, amungst a bunch of soccer moms....while trying to buy what is, in all intents and purposes...a childs toy. Top that off with the fact that I spent the last 6 years on a tv show...I am, unfortunately, recognized in some circles. I do NOT want to be the star of someones cell phone video of said scene just because the store put out for sale a product that they apprently weren't supposed to...they should probably pay thier empolyees enough to care enough to pay attention . So, when I came across another one at a different store...I paid for that optimus exactly what he was selling for, taxes included, and I'm ok with that.

Just scan 2 of the same size, then ask the person manning the self checkout and ask them to void the last one because you changed your mind.

The release dates on Amazon are pretty far out there, especially for sone that are already on shelves in stores. I had a gift card balance, so I did pre-order Jetfire tho, which is supposed to be delivered this Monday.

Sometimes Amazon releases stuff earlier. I just had a preorder of SW Vintage Collection RO Stormtroopers that were supposed to come in Nov get delivered last week. I ordered a couple of the figures and if I run into them in a store I will just cancel the preorder. Now I don't have to drive all over the place looking.

I'm getting my Jetfire from amazon on the third, pretty reasonable wait. I don't get why Springer is all the way in the 15th though. And Red Alert is due AUGUST FIRST for some reason!

Eh. At least I got stuff to look forward to.

I spoke to a friend that is an ESTL. Essentially what Neeral said is correct. That said, employees are terrified of losing their jobs, so they feel safer just following what the computer tells them.

I already ordered Jetfire through a local shop, so I have no idea when mine will be in (hopefully around the same time...?). But I also ordered Brunt on Amazon over the weekend with an estimated delivery date a couple weeks into July, and yesterday the estimate suddenly jumped to Wednesday, and by about midnight or so it had jumped again to TODAY. And it's "out for delivery" now, although I'm at work.

Edit: I just ordered Greenlight and it says the estimated delivery is tomorrow...?

    S. Fredericksburg/Massaponax Target had a SS BB Movie OP and the normal pegwarmers. The Walmart had a Galaxy Upgrade Prime. I bought it.

In regards to the Street Date arguments: Stores are supposed to sell items if they are displayed on the sales floor, and stores can get fined if they break street dates or companies will pull their product from the store. Companies make it really hard if not impossible to sell a street dated item before hand. In my experience (Petsmart, Sports Authority, Best Buy, Circuit City, Five Below) the system absolutely would not allow the sale. As a manager I would handle the situation by apologizing to the customer for the stores error, I would offer to hold the item for them until the street date, and give them a % off or a gift card when they made the purchase on the street date. Usually this made everybody happy, but assclowns will be assclowns (the main reason why I got out of retail a long time ago). I would have to ring the item up under a generic code if they absolutely demanded the product at that moment, and then adjust inventory by marking the item as damaged or stolen. I also saw other managers invoke the "Right to refuse any customer law" (yes stores can do this as long as they are not discriminating). This of course always ended up with a customer going ape shit, a call to corporate, and not even a slap on the wrist for the manager. I have never seen an employee get into any kind of trouble if a customer is being irate or disrespectful.

I do not think there should be street dates on toys and I think Target has made a huge mistake. That said....do what you want, but scanning one item and leaving with something different is wrong. When a cashier does it they are wrong and causing discrepancies. Cashiers are trained to scan every item. If a cashier is not scanning every item regardless of multiples they are doing it wrong.

I must say that I am shocked by the lack of respect towards others, ethics, entitlement, patience, and what some people are willing to do for essentially childrens toys I have been reading about lately.

The only argument I will make against that is that if the item is on the shelf, it should be sold. I was told that by the ESTL of a Target store on the Eastern USA that I know. It falls to the store to make sure the 'street dated' stuff doesn't make its way to the floor -- Which Neeral has also confirmed. Everything else you wrote is absolutely correct. Personally, I won't be scanning one item and taking the other anymore.

No argument needed. I agreed with you in my first sentence. I was just trying to paint a picture of the stores side based on my experience. As a manager I would try to make everyone happy when I was in that situation. If a store is getting fined and a company is threatening to pull their product all that does is hurts the future stock of the products. I just don't get why so many people are so quick and aggressive to capitalize on mistakes. I fully disagree with Target street dating toys. People can do what they want, but there are ways to get what you want without being disrespectful. I play by the rules, have patience and understand that mistakes are made. Yes its frustrating, but it's not in my character to make a stink about it.

I apologize to everyone for dragging this discussion out. I am really trying to get back to sightings.

Seven Corners Target is a hot mess with nothing worthy of noting.

Found Springer at Winchester Target North. Wouldn't scan, but I scanned another voyager I brought just in case.
