This thread is for any parents here to share moments of their kids enjoying TFs!

Just today my 3-year-old noticed my 2007 Barricade toy. He loves police cars & wanted to play with it. But when he found out it came apart & could turn into a robot, he was like “Robot! Robot!!” I had to show him the scenes of Barricade from the movie & any time the car rolled onscreen or he heard the siren, he would shout “Police!”

Right now he’s asleep with Barricade. It’s his first ever favorite Transformer. :D  Makes me so proud!

Um... you sure that’s not a choking hazard if a piece comes off or something?

I'm not gonna post pics of my kids, but I did buy my 5 year old daughter this shirt at TFcon DC and she still proudly wears it as "Daddy's dinosaur robot shirt"

Good point. But he never tries to put small pieces like that in his mouth. Otherwise, yeah, I’d keep it away from him.

    ....
Carefully takes Barricade out of his hands anyway....

My oldest has been a transformer fan since he was about 4.

This was him on his 9th bday when he got Trypticon to go with his Metroplex.

Somewhere I have a picture of my son watching the animated movie when he was 2. When Galvatron used to say to Unicron "feel his wrath". He used to always see feel my wrap.

When my twin boys were born, Rescue Bots was right in the middle of its run. I tried many many times over the last six years to get them into Transformers (mostly by trying to get them into Rescue Bots), but they're just not interested. In fact I can't really seem to get them into any of the action franchises that I love. The closest things that I've gotten them to enjoy are the Scoobie Doo-Batman the Brave and the Bold movie that came out about a year ago, and the Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel (two part) episode. And they only enjoy those more because they're less series versions that feature other characters that they like (Scoobie Doo and Phineas & Ferb). Though, for the record, both are extremely entertaining stories that I would definitely recommend.

That is how I got my oldest into transformers was Rescue Bots. He still has all the original ones. He likes Prime and G1. He didnt really like Robots in Disguise and tried Animated and he just wasnt interested in them. He is also a big Phineas and Ferb fan to the point he was devastated when they took them off the air. He has had a stuffed Perry since he was 1 now 10 that still has to sleep in his bed.

My 6 year old daughter checks in with me once a month to ask if I've gotten new versions of any bots in my collection as she gets what I don't want anymore. Her face genuinely lit up when I gave her all my Universe Ultras.

Yeah. It’s one of those things. They’re going to like what they like. But it is nice when they show an interest all on their own.

    Aww that’s awesome!!

Update on Barricade... looking like he did after fighting Bumblebee.
