Probably, but then again the Leader does end up more accurate over all, so.....

I think that the SS line is doing pretty well with providing us with great Voyagers and Leader Class figures that have accurate sculpt and lack (specifically) obtrusive backpacks.

I'd have to say that only SS32 Optimus (and the upcoming leader class set) have backpacks - which is what the older Sentinel toys (VC & LC) suffered greatly from. The other studio series voyagers and leaders barely have backpacks. Because of that I'm hopeful a potential SP in the SS line would be a wonderful improvement over the old Sentinel molds and will be pretty darn satisfying in accurate sculpt and quality design.

 

yeah, here's what I said in the Black Mamba's ROTF Sideswipe in the works thread: He just arrived yesterday, and I'd say he's good; like he's definitely an mpm, but he's on a similar level to Bumblebee or Jazz rather than Barricade or UT Lockdown. He's definitely looks a lot better in person, the brighter and darker areas mix together much better, but the bulky chest and small head are still a bit obvious. Having said that tho, mpm bee has a similar big-body issue, so maybe that cements it as a true mpm? Also [the] car mode is beautiful

 

One thing I did not expect is that the swords for Sideswipe are accurate to this concept art.



I thought the swords were supposed to be, well, sideways. Lol.

The website worked fine for me but I had heard that they closed down so I'm not sure anymore. I assumed they weren't operating anymore which is why I suggested ebay. I hope it works for you cause they're a really great upgrade to have!

They're attached to his wrists, so they can rotate I guess, but they retract into the forearms like Prime. That CGI render just has them forward for some reason. Still looks weird to me and I'd prefer if they were sideways.

The MOM will have a more accurate headsculpt at least. How is the transformation? Looks really complex.

 

I think this one is good, but it doesn’t seem to have the details a mpm would have, similar to that ko bonecrusher, it’s mpm size but lacking in detail and a certain level of complexity to match up with the mpm line.

 

Somebody needs to photoshop these 2 onto the forward tip of the Titanic.

 

ROTF, THE event back during 2009! My hype was through the roof back then and the movie didn't disappoint.

 

In my case, someone posted pics of their HFTD Fallen, I commented about wanting one, and someone reached out and said he'd be willing to sell me his, and at a great price at that!!

He was even nice enough to hold it for a whole month, as I was unable to buy him and when he first messaged me!!

So just post on here every now and then about wanting one, and hopefully someone will reach out!!

Man, these are beautifully painted!! And that Prime is just awesome!! As always, great job!!

His transformation is mostly the same as Sidearm, so I can say that it's not complex at all.

 

@Lockon Prime my good buddy @CooljazCustoms painted up that Megatron, and he'll also be painting my Prime soon! I just finished modding the forearms using the hood halves from an HftD voyager Prime and the open hands are from a "Pacific Rim: Uprising" figure.



I think this is the final modification I'll do before it gets painted.

Maybe get a HA version's head to make the head bigger? a bigger head would improve the chest as well, it would balance it out.
