Would you watch it if there was a new G1 anime?

What about a fully fledged anime that makes full use of the known JG1 timeline, so Car Robots, Beast Wars, Victory, Neo and the original series all crossover?

 

Remake/reimagine of G1, hell no.
Continuation, new stories, new bots, NO HUMANS, then yes, absolutely.

Beast Wars isn't G1. No crossovers. Starts somewhere in the "near future" after S3 ended, and then go from there. Or post-Rebirth is fine too, but just complicate it. And we need Young Justice quality stories, not Teen Titans Go.

 

So many gaps of G1 cartoon to be covered, I would watch a genuine G1 series that filled in the blanks.

 

G1 has the Quintessons, and I'm afraid what the anime versions would do with their tentacles.  

 

Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory already covered that, though.

I think I'd like to see G1 rebooted sincerely, where some classic stories (comic and TV) get makeovers and new ones add to the lore in more meaningful ways. And certain origin stories are given more care. it doesn't have to be gristly and ultra-serious...but not overly light-hearted either.

I also desire a Bot Bots cartoon in the vein of Teen Titans GO! where it's goofy and doofy as hell.

I would rather we get new stories in shows that actually have major gaps in them. Animated, which had an entire fourth season planned, for instance?

 

I think he means either a continuation of or a reboot of Generation 1 era stories in modern anime form.

Because chances are it'll probably be better than most west-side offerings these days. Give it to Trigger, they'll make something amazing with Transformers. It'll be better because even the most bottom of the barrel anime (definitely looks) is better than the lazy, uninspired CalArts trash the west pumps out, because even the most by-the-numbers, basic-ass Mecha Anime takes a little thing that isn't as common in the western animation industry these days, known as effort.

 

A new brand G1 anime would be fine to me.

 

Japan remade Sailormoon to be more like the Manga. Gawd wondering how a billion dollar megacorp like Hb who (correct me if I'm wrong) bigger than Bandai can't pull it off.[(Get Ron Friedman, Budiansky, Furman into the mythos and Toei Doga (with Satoshi Urushibara and Masami Obari) the original folks of the G1(Furman of course is with the comics] to do the animation.

 

If there's a series that is good, regardless of whether it satiates the Weebs or not, I will watch it. If it sucks, regardless of whether it satiates the Weebs or not, I won't watch it.

 

providing it wasn't overally kidified something that at least takes it's self semi seriously. I literally couldn't stand transformers cybertron when I heard the horrendous english voice acting Jetfire seems to have gone australian Metroplex is scottish (dear god why?) and all the decepticons are little more than comic relief idiots.

Yes i would but not drawn like your typical anime. I'd like to see it like the old style of cell shading but with better lines that are sharp and clean.

That’s what Bayverse did with 5 movies. Practically told the same story over and over.
