    This is a beautiful set!!!

Deathwish’s paint is primo, and while I did shave Overheat’s shoulders a bit (tried to minimally force, and got scare), his his front spoiler bent fine.
I have to say, I like Breakdown’s paint even more now that he’s with the rest of the team, as I think he’d get lost with an all white body.
They’re all so posable, stable and fun.
Ive never doubled up on a set before... but I may have to for these guys.
I got them for Menasor... But now I don’t know if I could do it, and leave these beautiful bots clasped to arms and legs forever!!!

I wouldn't bother double dipping. You got DX9 and FansToys as other options. I'm in for the full FT set.

That's basically what Baba stated when I asked him when he'd be getting more Deathwish in stock (end of June).

You have to make sure that double hinge is positioned perfectly.
I watched one of the videos (which did a nice job of showing it), and still had a bit of trouble.
But I eventually got it, and it shaped in like a dream!

I'm not going looking in previous pages, but did someone say they contacted tfdirect regarding Deathwish/Overheat ETA's?

I transformed Overheat, last night and didn’t really have any issues. I watched Tman978’s chill review while transforming him though, and that definitely helped. He does a good job of walking you through all the sort of iffy parts of the transformation. I can see why people are having issues with it breaking though, because there were definitely parts of the transformation that made me nervous. I seemed to get through it with everything still in one piece though.

Overall, I really like both Deathwish and Overheat. My only real gripe was Deathwish’s gun not being included with mine. Otherwise though, both arrived in pretty good shape. I doubt that Overheat is a figure that I’ll be transforming over and over, but thankfully I at least haven’t had any issues with him yet.

I’m totally blown away, I was expecting issues, but I’m completely happy with these two. Hoping Roadking will be finalized soon..

Glad you like it but the truth is that is Just right above Voyager scale which is CW devs. IT is UNderscaled to me because Optimus Prime MP-10 is suppose to be at or under the knee cut not at thigh level almost to the waist which is where Skyfire is suppose to be. Do you see my AVATAR?

That is not the topic here. It is the fact that they got the ears/spikes on top of the head more in line the cartoon unlike DX9 & Fan Toys versions. So do you think 3rd parties out there will do extra heads for any of these 3 Menasors? We know Fan Toys has a head swapping option for their Menasor which can make it easier to get additional heads.

Then I guess you think every combiner made so far is undersized, since Monolith is expected to be less than half an inch difference from Constructor or the Zeta combiners.

You still didn't answer my question and keep going on about what is my opinion. Zeta is too undersized for me & I am not into hour glass shaped bots on stilts (see my signature). I have the Fan Toys Marauder thank you very much and I may even take a look at Dx9's version.

I like this head the best as they got the head spikes closest to the cartoon. I may even get this bc I am a huge fan of Menasor but I hope someone takes advantage of Marauder swappable heads feature with some light up add on kits like Constructor got etc.

Got my Deathwish and Overheat today. Transformed them watching Bobby Skullface review and they both went pretty well. I think I like all 4 limb bots about the same, which is pretty good. Now I guess we wait a long time for XT's Motormaster.

Meanwhile, here's the Stunticon team with Roadking standing in:

Who says he has to? You said this figure is going to be too short and that's what he was replying to. I always find it funny when someone gets hung up on an unanswered question as if they're required to reply to everything you said.

For me, I consider cw Devastator to be a perfectly respectable scale for MP combiners. Toyworld decided to make them bigger for some reason so now everybody else has to follow suit. I still find it mildly annoying since I own cw devy (with upgrade kits) and all the rest of my combiners are going to be out of scale with him. Still, tw scale is fine. Bigger would just be ridiculous though. I don't need two foot combiners.

    Sorry.

No, I don't think anyone will bother making heads for any of these Menasors. Especially not Fans Toys, as the only non-FT add-on for an FT product are boobs for their Arcee, and it's my understanding that the bigger 3P players don't get along with FT.

    Ok? Question answered.

So yeah, we keep going on about your opinion, because we're confused by it. Your name is 18inchcombiner, but all three Menasors will be bigger than that. You're saying that you want MP-scaled combiners. Well, the season 2 combiners aren't on any scale chart that I'm aware of, but based on the common assumption that they're all roughly the same size, and we do have official Sunbow scale guides that put Prime and Megatron somewhere between Devastator's knee and the top of his thighs, and MP Megatron comes up to around mid-thigh on Monolith.

And, yeah, you can point at your avatar (like you've already done) to argue that they should be bigger, but there's a reason why so many people around here bring up the scale guide. The animation was horribly inconsistent. In "City of Steel" he's shown so large that you'd either need to stuff a Deluxe-class Optimus in Constructor's hand or build a Devastator at least as tall as a adult human to go with MP-10. On the other end, in "Carnage In C-Minor" Devastator is shown to be around the same size as Soundwave.

Which is fine, but your primary reason seems to be because they're supposedly bigger than Monolith. But the difference between Monolith and DX9's is 1cm, which is tiny. Hell, XTB's was apparently measured to the top of his head, not the spikes. If DX9 was measuring to the top of the spikes on his head that alone could add a cm or more. And AFAIK there isn't an official height given for FT's Marauder, but official sources have said "a couple of cm less than Terminus" which is appropriate, as Devastator is noticeably shorter than Omega Supreme on the official Sunbow scale guide. Given FT's own adherence to said guide, I'd be surprised if the difference between Monolith and Marauder is more than 3/4ths of an inch, perhaps even less if FT is counting to the top of the spikes.

So I guess we're wondering if you think Monolith is going to be shorter than it is, if you think Marauder is going to be bigger than it probably will be, or if a difference in height that's probably less than the size of MP Megatron's head really makes that much of a difference to you that you'd rather go with the bigger one than the one you think looks better?

Please don't flame my name & would of been cool if you asked me why I was called that instead of presuming much . I made that name like that for a reason. A long time ago when I joined this forum. Nobody believed me & just attacked me because they where conservative to the fact that there make never be anything close to a 18 inch combiner using the excuse of impossibilty engineering wise (even TigerBlade who is talented as hell now was going along with the crowd of cavemen) because of all the Green Giant then Hercules then Warbotron nuthuggers which my intention was never to take away their toys just state to be ready for the future. Everytime a bigger combiner came out I was here! And 18 inch was never my ceiling as that is voyager scale written on the box in titan Devs & I keep evolving. Finally FT completing my dream after getting cyber bullied believing in technology all these years for it was worth it!

About scale bc no offense but you couldn't help but still talk about (I am not taking anyones toys away).
I realize that in very few scenes they make Galvs looks upper thigh high to say Bruticus. And sometimes the Combiners look way bigger so I never fell for any double standard.
I meet it right in the middle where the most G1 consistent scenes are shown like in my Avatar where Optimus is at the knee cut which is where Dalianj said his FT combiners will be at.
Yes it is my opinion how tall I want it and then later people who hated the idea saying it would flop love it now. I am the one who emailed ideas to many companies and glad some where picked up by them. But of coarse I strive for perfection and I stand by my opinion that I am flexible on going a few inches under I bite the bullet and buy them with my $. I am always open minded and willing to open my wallet when need be for something better and if this good enough I will keep as many as I want of my favorite combiner character.

I have had the same argument with hundreds of people about the G1 size difference and I am into the MP combiner scale that makes sense the most (in the cartoon also and in real life) which is MP-10 or Megs or Motormaster at KNEE CUT!

Thanks for answering my question as if FT made a additional head lot with expressions and a light up eye feature I am sure would sell out quick. FT's doesn't have the same kind of spikes as this Monolith.

It would not matter if they are making a newly sculpted head. I don't understand how they wouldn't do bigger spikes if its a added head bc the body is already made so added spike height has nothing to do with it because the head will be placed the same way.

Also yes a few inches or centimeters taller matter and it changes the structure of the whole BOT proportion wise which will obviously be larger and more impressive. You are getting more bot for your meaning everywhere engineering wise. I hope they do a oversized monolith cause I'd buy that TOO which is very unlikely :)

    Lastly please don't bring up size anymore bc it's a huge pandora's box. Everything you can think off about the cartoon hypocrisy I've argued with people 1000X over and there is nothing you can say that I haven't heard before. So lets finish with scale here bc the bots they made are staying as they are. I did my work already and they did pick up some of my suggestions in their suggestions box (;

The discussion about scale? Exactly. Everything I said came true since back when you were holding on to your Herc on stilts thinking I was going to snatch him away from you which was never my intention. I never take things in the past to account my friend as look where we are, in the golden age COMBINER wise. Technology won so there's no point to go over every single argument that has been gone through a million times before. They listened to my ideas and I have proof.
