BTW, how stupid do you think both Edward Norton and Terrence Howard are feeling these days for quitting after 1 movie each?
Neither one “quit”. Terrence Howard in particular has not shut up for yeeeears about how he thinks RDJ got him fired. His whiny-little-bitchness about it is well documented. Norton also got canned... just more quietly. And it was also his own fault. He went control freak 1000 when filming & editing TIH, made too many demands, and voila, hello Ruffalo.
Damn now you reminded me how Heimdall died :/ What a noble last act though. Also, it is a travesty that we still haven’t gotten a Marvel Legends of him yet
You know... I was just re-reading my old 90's Hulk run with "Professor/Smart" Hulk... and I think I realize what I was off putting to me about how they handled that version of Hulk in Endgame. In Endgame it was basically Hulk's body with Banner's mind, but in the comics (at least early on) it was a perfect fusion of all of the three main Hulk personas we'd seen at that point (Green, Grey, and Banner). Even though he had Banner's brains he was still pretty egocentric and ready to pounce into a fit. Professor Hulk would have been fine "letting loose" and smashing a few things instead of complaining about it being "gratuitous".
You know come to think of it, this actually more resembles the storyline from the comics when Banner was in complete control of the Hulk. It was him in total control of the Hulk’s body, but in the end he had to worry about the Hulk re-emerging. I see more cues from that one really.
Yeah, I also read those stories in the recent months, hulks story there is definitely the best ever, but in the movies it felt really short, same with Thor. They are so much more interesting in the comics.
The comics have all the time in the world to give their stories the length they need. The movies don’t exactly have that luxury. Especially when they’re juggling so many characters at once.
I do wonder what they can do with Hulk and Bruce after this movie? Some people mentioned Maestro when they saw Bulk's greying hair but that seems more like a villain from an alternate timeline. Maybe an alternate persona can be trying to emerge? Honestly like Bruce Hulk way better than regular Hulk, so I hope to see a lot more of him until Ruffalo retires from the role. Don't really expect any other things to come of him.
I'm confused how this was an agreeable solution of existence between hulk and banner? Hulks personality is still suppressed and if anything its Banner puppeting his body even more than before? Secondly, where did the final battle take place? I've heard somewhere in upstate New York maybe? Which if that's the case, that's a HUGE inhabitable area that was just left in absolute ruin
It was at the facility they moved to at the end of AOU and used through to endgame. which i think antman movie said was upstate new York. But it looks secluded, so i always thought an area of the state away from civilisation. But i don't know the geography, i don't know if that's actually like that.
I figure it was secluded but I also feel like the scale of the battle, there's no way it didnt scrape at nearby society. I dunno. Random thought.
New York is a full sized state. Not just the city on the coast. Pretty much the upper portion parallel to Vermont looks to be totally forest.
