What?? It was confirmed the next movie they want to do is Bumblebee 2. What do you mean you don’t think there will be one? As far as we know there will be one as long as it doesn’t get cancelled.

 

It was talked about, while promoting Bumblebee, but these things change. It is very possible that they will indeed do a Bumblebee 2, but since Bumblebee 1 did just okay and not great, then they may not want to risk more diminishing returns after TLK. I think they may be taking this opportunity to strategise. Maybe they opt for something more unexpected than a Bumblebee 2 or an Optimus/Bumblebee buddy flick, which are options that probably don't hold enough of a surprise element to hook the audience. Who knows at this point? I hope for a complete reboot, even if it takes a few years.

 

Seems kind of late to be making a spice girls movie. Are they popular again?

 

I mean people could of said the same thing about Rocketman and Elton John as well as NWA and Strait Outta Compton, yet those films were successful ones.

 

But weren't those biographical movies? What I looked up really quick was that the spice girls movie will be making them superheroes.

No official confirmations from the actors, even the directors, yet that they're developing a second movie. It's just a talk from Lorenzo. Hopefully it won't get cancelled

 

Wait they’re doing another bumblebee movie before a main transformers movie? Damnit

 

I honestly think that's the best way: to grow the tree from the seed, so to speak.

You use the Bumblebee movies to gradually build the universe and then you branch off into multiple movies because by then, you've found out what works and what doesn't, you've established the general setting and its factions to the audience. That's when you can have a movie that is entirely about the Wreckers or the Dinobots or some other standalone plot.

You can still try to play a bit with the genres and characters within the Bumblebee movies. That way, you also know which characters the audience responds most positively to and would like to see more of.

 

Well considering the latest movie came out a couple of months ago, not anytime soon.

 

Should the movie franchise deserve a new chance in the theaters ?

 

Not sure what you're trying to ask here. If you're speaking about a theatrical re-release, then no.

You mean, a new movie in the Bayverse series? I don't think we'll see that for a long time due to how expensive those movies were and how they ceased to be profitable.

You might see some of its ideas or aesthetics be reused in other media like the cartoons or the comics. That's usually how it goes with the older Transformers incarnations.

 

Bayverse is dead. It's been dead for two years. It's not coming back.

 

To be honest and as much as I don’t want it, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bay returns in like 10 years.

 

Nah. It'd be irresponsible to keep going in a direction that lost the studio $100M on the last movie to go in that direction.

Just let the studio's creative indecisiveness and lack of momentum on a new movie play itself out for another year or two, then reboot under a new production team.

 

Maybe with a better director have a future.
