My recent experiences with Maketoys has been that if you get a broken part or piece, you're mostly screwed for getting replacement pieces unless your retailer is willing to swap out the entire figure. If you bought them as a complete set, you're probably screwed, not least because Maketoys generally doesn't seem to offer replacement parts, either directly to consumer, or through retailers as of late. With Yes Model, they are much more accommodating about sending out replacement parts, whether through a larger retailer, or individual Chinese sellers. As far as quality, there is no distinguishable difference in my experience, even after the upscaling in these.

 

I know I'm going to be super unpopular for bumping the thread without any news or nee photos but is it confirmed that yes model will actually produce the final bot?

Back on about page 36 of this thread, on May 13th, there was a post directly addressing this, as well as photos of the casting molds being used to produce the parts for the final bot. YM has stated it will be produced and it is expected to release this August.

 

Not gonna lie but I did see that post. For some reason the casting molds did not fill me with confidence as who knew if the molds were going to get filled with plastic (ah, joke ) but yes, ok thanks.

 

So overall Yes Model is the same quality as MakeToys Guardia?

Nope, all combiner parts will come with Hot Spot.

 

Do any of the limb bots have die cast in them at all?

They haven't.

 

Groove does, yes. He has a die-cast exhaust pipe/shield thing and a couple of die cast parts for the hip rods.

My bad, GunFire Alpha is right, Groove has small metal pieces, it doesn't make he heavier but stills has.

 

Metal parts on Maketoys Axle (Groove), but is the same on YES MODEL version plus the central inner part, it is metal too in YES MODEL Axle.

 

This team really looks good. Would be an awesome Defensor.

Are they delaying OS Defensor to let Maketoys make some money from their upcoming reissue?

It seems like KO companies have stopped harassing Maketoys in light of their slow activity.
