He does look really good, but my one nitpick is the tank. If it was about half the size, I think he\'d be perfect.

Depends on how much R&D Hasbro wants to save. Hasbro isn't beneath recoloring older tooling if it's still useful. There was 4 years between T30 Cosmos and the one from Titans Return.

Hmm. I thought we had figured out that he was going to be Devastator height? At least to the head. If he's truly 24 inches (I know they're counting the wings, but the wings aren't much above his head, in terms of inches/mm) then he's still out of scale with Devastator. (Yes, I know, people nitpick it, I'm not getting into that discussion.) It's one of the more memorable moments in TF history. If he truly IS 24 inches tall, then there's no reason for me to get him. I already have Wei Jiang Ultima Guard and he's fully functional (aside from the original toy's walking ability, of course) and one of the only reasons I'd buy this guy is because of a better matching scale for CW Devastator, and if that's gone, I'm good as-is.

That said, if history has taught me anything, it's that it's now time to wait for a Titan Class release and get it at a heavy discount. I can do far more important things with the difference savings than buying myself a toy. Normally, I'm on the other side of the argument and I'm willing to pay full price right now, gotta have it now, etc, but that time in my life is gone. Retail/MSRP (or close to it) or nothing. Anything lower than that? Yes, please. I'm done overpaying. I'm done importing. This guy ain't nothin' special enough to go to that much trouble for.

Definitely a Brunt reuse. Whether just for the art or an idea of an upcoming reuse, we probably won't know for a while. To be honest, Scorponok hasn't had the most love throughout the years. A city/base robot that wasn't in scale with Fortress Maximus in G1, a nice but flawed homage in Energon which wouldn't work due to his size (I know he was supposed to be and he was a different character in that series, please just don't) and a head in a Titans Return pack-in exclusive. He's way overdue for an actual 24 incher and done properly. I don't think Hasbro's going to leave us hanging for too long. I'd imagine he'll be next year's Titan or the following year. I'll say this... If they do a repaint, first, say Metrotitan, before a new mold like Scorponok, I can certainly understand why people would want to revolt. I get that these molds are expensive and they need to make as much as they can out of them, that includes repaints and remolds, but we ain't gettin' any younger and time waits for no man.

Really? What was it that you didn't like? I don't mean to put you on the spot, so I apologize for that, but I'm genuinely curious.

I would very much rather see an omega sentinel and scorponok before they decide to make a new metroplex but I guess the guy 6 years old but he still holds up just fine.

Who area if he’s taller than devastator. They fought once? Twice 35 years ago? He fought armies more often

I'd buy the Dweller to if it was a decent retool of Trypticon. I'd buy a couple Omega Sentenels, a new Unicron and Primus and even a Titan class Skylynx.

The Titan cities always seemed too small to me. I'd never ask for "properly" scaled city bots (lul) but Devastator (and by extension this Omega) look like they'll be at home next to Masterpiece sized Transformers, detail/engineering quality inconsistencies be damned.

This. There's something more significant about rivals squaring off when there's a shared history and bitterness between them.

Pulling the pic with the height scale into Photoshop and measuring it out, I get 23.25" to the top of his head. Hope that helps people.

    EDIT: I messed up—it's actually 22.5". Sorry...

I need an Omega and I'm genuinely torn on which of these two I'm angling for. I like the extra details and sculpting on this one, but not sure about the compressed size of the alt mode (although that would make shelf display easier) and really not sold ont he wonky looking leg/hip area. I like the heroic proportions of the WJ and the functionality of it, but I'm not sure I'd ever be able to transform it, and that puts me off a little bit.
How do you like your WJ? And how tall is he to the top of the head (not counting the wings)?

I friggin' love that appropriately cocky grin they've given Countdown.

Omega looks incredible (I'll be looking forward to getting him signed by Jack Angel someday) but I gotta give props for the inclusion of the Micromaster Countdown! Very nice update, I'll be glad to retire the Universe 2.0 version that was a repaint of Cybertron Defense Red Alert.

I wonder if it's possible to fanmode a space ship out of him?

Ok, here's my problem. If we go by G1 Cartoon logic (yes, I know, shut-up!), both the dinobots and constructicons were made after awakening on earth. So how can there be a rivalry between Devy and Omega back on cybertron?

I don't want to start another continuity debate to derail the thread, so I'll just leave it at; I guess personal head cannon to make it fit is just that, personal.

The four Decepticons that Omega Supreme is about to smash with his claw hand look sort of like Brunt and Reflector, only Reflector\'s paint job looks like Viewfinder, Spectro, and Spyglass.

Not a debate just watch the episode. It’s all about their rivalry. Continuity problem? Sure? I guess? They said they built them on earth. So were the Conbaticons but they had personality components from Cybertron.

Fill in the blanks. Use that imagination you’re not using. They built them on earth and used their sparks/personality components to give them life on earth.

    Problem solved
