No, there's an MP line for the live-action movies too.

If we get an MP Seeker 3.0, I think it'll be a little bigger than MP-11 at least in jet mode to accommodate a Dianaught-sized pilot or a pilot figure the size of Spike from MP-47. I think going forward, we are going to see Dianaught compatibility driver seats and cockpits. We already see this with MP-44/45/47.

It's a way for some of these new toys with Diaclone ancestry to perform double duty with the current Diaclone line.

 

I was only talking MPs (G1/Beast Wars) and not MPMs (Live-Action movies).

 

I think you may be underestimating the size of an F-15, and the scale that would be required to achieve this feat. Even fudging it a little wouldn't work.

 

Then I don't understand your question. G1 and BW are cartoons. So why wouldn't they be doing cartoon MPs?

 

I'm well aware of the size compared to other vehicles and given the price increases, I'd rather Takara go bigger than the same size as current Seekers.

 

Strangely with the Lio Convoy BW reveal and the China Rodimus release, I'm leaning Galvatron happening before Starscream. l wonder if this will be like Feb. where one MP is revealed and ready to go and two protoypes or another proto and a repaint are shown. The worse part of that though is waiting for POs to go up.

 

They won't do so at the expense of scale in robot mode. I get that you prefer this, but that doesn't make it likely.

 

Maybe they meant comic versions of characters, like G2 sideswipe?

 

I guess, since he didn't bother making himself clear. To which, I doubt that Takara is going to make MP characters like Jhiaxus or Tarn any time soon.

But what if they could make a bigger jet without messing up the robot mode scale? I'm with Shin, make those jets as big as humanly possible.

It's not impossible, they've made figures before that transformed from big alt modes to smaller figures and the other way around. I don't necessarily think the toy would be scaled exactly accurately to the Dianaught, but more like the cockpit has enough room to seat it without looking weird.

For example, the original Diaclone Aerobat F-15(later repainted as Starscream) was out of scale compared to the Dianaught that could sit within it, but it didn't look weird.

I think what'll be common going forward is compatibility with Dianaughts and the new human figures in vehicle mode, not using exact scale, but close enough.

In truth, I don't expect something much larger than MP-11, but larger nonetheless.

 

I think that the difference in this case would be a collection of folding panels that would dwarf Dinobot or BW Megs. The relative scale in the seekers bot mode to robot is about right, so they’d be collapsing a lot of mass down.

The design of the robot look has to be taken into account here too, as the Seekers aren’t well suited to minimization like a mold like the vanette is. It could probably be done, sizing up the jet, but the cost to the robot could well be too high.

I’d suspect that we’d get a slightly bigger jet at most.
