It’s even more noticeable when comparing the picture from the toy show to this promo shot:
    upload_2019-6-20_16-8-52.jpeg
    upload_2019-6-20_16-9-28.jpeg
The angles of the photos can’t explain this discrepancy because the mouth plate is visible over the blue “cheeks” in the promo shot. There’s definitely something to your theory Sam!

Potentially...after studying the pictures a bit more it almost looks like it could be two different face sculpts—one with a movable face plate (that slides up and down) and one where the faceplate is molded in. Although that difference is appearance could be accounted for by your theory as well.

The dollar will continue to weaken. Either the Fed is going to cut rates and/or a war will happen and the deficit will go parabolic in which case lower rates will be required. I have MP-44, Blackarachnia, Hound and a couple of other figures already paid off.

That does not mean the dollar can't occasionally rise. The yen too can fall. But I am in a decent spot right now.

Remember guys, the Yen at 100 means you will probably be paying around 350?

I do hope it bounces back at least to 110. At one point it dipped to 108 but went back to 111. So we'll see...

I think it had dropped down to 106 the last time I went to Japan. The only good thing about that that it was much cheaper booking a trip. Go figure. Normally when the dollars hood prices are up.

Yeah I think it's still too hard to tell if that's thick paint pooling up or a complete lack of space. I think the mouth-plate is still a separate piece, but that doesn't mean it can't be glued into place too.

Yeah this is a great shot showing how it's changed.

That said, it could be that the original prototypes were poorly assembled. It's possible that the way they're assembled simply allows for the mouth-plate to 'droop' or not, depending on how tightly they're stuck together.

We won't know until we get him, but I do feel like there are so many features that they haven't been able to show them all off. We still haven't seen MP-12+ wearing the jetpack in robot mode, and that must be a possibility.

Does anyone know if the head articulation is a ball joint? Or just a hinge? And how do you remove the head?

I don’t think we know that yet, but the head movement could be similar to mp10 with the shoulder player under the neck being movable. Just speculating

If I was to guess it’d be a ball joint. Seems like the standard.

One thing to call out on these recent pics is that the antennae on this prototype appear to be unpainted translucent plastic where as the rest of the helmet looks like painted plastic. You can see it in the highlights in the pics @Sam posted.

As for a movable mouth-plate it definitely looks like we are going to get them!

I’m not too sure about a mouth plate that moves. I’m not seeing a gap that would provide enough clearance for the plate to simulate talking. A great bonus if it does, but I doubt it. Can anyone drum up a picture showing the back of Prime’s head? That would give us a clearer answer.

I don’t think those antennae are translucent, I think it’s just the light playing off the blue plastic coupled with how thin they are that makes them look that way. And it also looks to me that the rest of the head may not be painted in that photo as well, but I could be wrong. Either way I am a little disappointed—and slightly worried—now that we can see that the antenna aren’t die-cast.
