The timbre of his voice has changed. That served the role well because he sounds like a king who’s ruled for a long time." Well, he has admitted Jones' voice has aged, but also that it could benefit the film. I hope it does.
My concern is that Favreau like Dave Filoni didn’t give Jones any real direction, they just heard him speak, and when Jones asked for direction, they said “no, you are Vader/Mufasa”. Of course he sounds different than he did in the 80’s/90’s, but back then he had direction.
I'm sorry, could you be more specific as to what voice direction was needed? For reprising his roles, it's going back to what was there already, isn't it?

Want to see this on my Birthday with my family. But I just found out one of my mom's friends was coming for a visit on the same day. And they would rather spend time with her instead. They just told me to see the movie myself.
Imax is gonna be a treat. I wish they’d filmed it all in imax like IW and Endgame but it’ll still be amazing. Out of these posters, the IMAX one and the international one with Simba roaring on Pride Rock are my favorites. Tickets drop this morning. Now that Toy Story 4 is here, the marketing for this can really ramp up.
Soundtrack listing is supposedly out and if it’s real it confirms Chiwetel actually performs Be Prepared, Nala has a new solo, and He Lives In You is featured in the film.
I have a feeling that this film is going to be about the same as the Aladdin film. As it's basically the same film, with new scenes added here and there, that just get you through to the old ones. But, hopefully, it works better here.
