I have to disagree about TR being a joke. That was a great line IMHO. Sure, I thought CW was pretty great when it came out and it WAS much better than T30 IMHO, but, yeah, it hasn’t aged as well. TR though GREAT toys and lots of fun.
PotP though, now that was just recycling from the other 2 and honestly a let down for me.

The product has not really shrunken, Tman in his video proves that Siege figures in some cases are the same gram/oz or more than T30 etc meaning it's a similar amount of product. Some fixate on height alone but those taller figures are often more hollow and lower in quality.

Siege figures are a higher quality, more articulation, more authentic character representation, a line wide consistent scale and more, that's worth the small price increase, in my country and area the price hasn't even changed much, deluxe up by 2 dollars, voyagers up by 4 dollars and leaders/ legends etc. the same price.

Great picture, thanks for sharing. May I ask where you found Smashdown? If in USA which state?

I have my secret sources... kidding, I Got a notice from Big Boy Collectibles in NY. $1.00 more than retail plus shipping, so really nothing to complain about price-wise plus pretty fast delivery for eastern US.

I'm just getting on board the WFC Siege train and I'm loving it so far. I only have Sideswipe and the Battle and Air Strike Patrol sets so far but I have Voyager OP and Megatron on their way to me.

Siege is taking me back to when I began to collect Transformers as an adult, specifically when I discovered the Classics toy line. Those toys, great for their time and many of the toys are still darn good, really knocked my socks off. I basically went from G1 toys as a kid to Classics as an adult. That's a huge leap in toy design and aesthetics. So when I first saw the Classics toys, I was in awe. Seeing characters given a contemporary redesign was refreshing to me. I'm kind of getting the same feeling now with Siege.

It seems like all Deluxe toys and upwards in Siege have ankle tiltage, to varying degree, which I'm a big fan of. I also like how many areas of hollowness are concealed by panels.

Sideswipe feels rock solid, the joints are tight, and for its size, it has a bit of heft. I'm hoping that I'll see the same traits in Voyager OP and Megatron.

Megatron is really, REALLY good, but you are in for a treat with Optimus. Easily the best non-MP iteration of the character made.

Found Soundwave's cassettes today, they are adorably teeny tiny!

It bears repeating but every Siege release has captured the robot mode of each character perfectly while also delivering excellent articulation. The hype is real!

Can you form Ultra Magnus's armor with the back kibble facing forward? Or at least without the main armor piece/head?

Magnus' torso armor (chest, head, and back) is a single piece and can be left off the full robot mode. The crotch can simply be flipped around 180 degrees. The bumper can't be removed from the figure without disassembling it. As for making the back the front, you can rotate the torso, head, and biceps each 180 degrees, but you're gonna have backwards hands.

For a "nerd", like Wheeljack, Soundwave sure got a lot of loving in the design process of Siege.:rock

Can’t wait for amazon to finally get some of the wave 3 stuff in, feels like the wait between wave 2 and 3 was longer than between 1 and 2
