Gladly my kids know that my tfs are off limits.......

 

I did get one of my buddy's kids into MPs. He has a few and I bought him a couple so he knows what he's doing. I'll let him marvel at Prime once he comes in.

MP44 needs the light up matrix. So far no pics or confirmation?

 

Exactly. These are EXPENSIVE. One of my ex's family members had a kid who's idea of playing was smashing toys together violently. I let his parents know that they would be replacing anything that was broken. The kid was heavily monitored and kept away from my collection.

 

After next month, all gas ,no brakes....for some of us.

 

Light up matrix just like MP-01? I'd love that! But judging from pictures, that doesn't seem to be the case unfortunately. They would've shown that off like they did with BW Megs' light-up eyes.

 

I mean it’d be cool. Unless that sound pack also has a light or converts sound into light energy.

 

3rd party accessories/ part makers are going to make loads of dough!

 

Somehow the focus is on toon accuracy and yet Takara cant work out a simple light up feature??! Man that's dissapointing. Bleh. :/

I dunno. Given all the shit they’ve gone through it’s understandable.

 

Considering the engineering, I don't blame them for missing it. With all these parts moving to transform the chest, I honestly don't see how they could fit in a battery compartment or wiring from the backpack into the matrix chamber to light it up. MP-01 could do it because he was a bigger figure and had more space in the chest cavity.

Unless we're going for the SF-M01 route where they actually put the LED in the matrix itself. Though my guess for why they didn't do that either is because the matrix is tiny or they didn't want to compromise it with some screw holes. Probably has to do with the production side as well since MP-44 is already a complicated figure. Putting together tiny electronics into such a small thing is too problematic because they could easily be lost or time consuming?

We'll never know. But yeah, cash money for 3Ps who do add-ons/upgrade kits for TT products! I'd actually buy one if it's good. I'd likely have Hotrod holding the Matrix, doing his transformation (to Rodimus) pose! It'd be a nice callback to MP-01 and the movie. A missed opportunity to be sure, but a very minor one since batteries don't last forever.  

 

Maybe the compexity of MP44's transforrming parts meant that Takara had no optiin to incorporate additional features. Light up parts surprisingly make a figure more costly..

 

I think soundboards cost more. Especially if you have 30 of them. Which is why BW Megatron costed so much.

 

So all the toy budget went to the electronics..lol?

 

Certainly not the waist slider! Aye!
