Hey guys, As the title says, I'm interested in how you all store your instructions and other paper products. In the past I have had the majority of them in gallon sized ziplocks or stored in old metal lunchboxes. I'm looking for a better solution because I tend to forget which ones I have when I go to sell the figure due to lack of organization. Do you guys have a better suggestion?
I just throw them out. If I ever need to know how to transform something I can just a video on YouTube that is far more helpful than Hasbro instructions.
I have a big envelope with the instructions in it, but recently I've been putting the instructions inside of the bag which I put the figure in
Used to it have a jumbo-sized baggie of instructions from my old movie toys. Family threw them out a couple years ago. >_<
yeah, I don't keep them after I've committed the transformation to my memory banks. and this is a good point. now I feel like we should support the people who DO have those instructions/figures to make transformation videos in a format for future generations.
My 3P and MP instructions stay in their boxes in storage. The rest are in an overflowing cabinet in my desk that's getting closer to just being recycled every day.
I keep mine in labeled baggies, separated by toy line (grouped together by size within the bag, and alphabetized). On my Excel inventory spreadsheet, I have a category for ‘paperwork’ for things like instructions, backboards, inserts, etc. This way I can easily find the instructions (and everything else) that goes with a figure. Here’s an example of my Excel format:
