yep, thats what I had to do too.

 

Ok this is my (overly) detailed review. I got it yesterday from Uncle Billy.

So as another board member mentioned, it's painted over 3D printed plastic. Granted the plastic is much better than like Shapeways, the texture is noticeable and the paint isn't always applied evenly.






Note there are NO nubs for the ramps to snap onto the connectors in the feet so they are held there by friction.

Yellow doesn't match the shins



The blue is close, but like another member here said, there's too much paint and it's tough to get everything to fit.


From a distance though, he looks fantastic!



But.....after transforming this a few times, paint is rubbing off since there is too much of it and it makes the friction points too tight.




So would I recommend it? For $15 yeah, it does the job.

My priority was calf fillers and it does it's job. No regrets for me.

I may end up leaving it as ramps and using the other set as my missile pods/leg fillers. Mainly wanted these for the base upgrade/differentiation anyway.

 

That's what I'm doing, just using this one for the base mode and the other for leg fillers, though I'm not using them as missle pods - for me I don't need to seperate the tank and jet and I'm not bothered by parts forming and needing everything to store away neatly.

 

Do you have to separate them to do the pods? Cause I’m not doing that :/ I thought they could go on the sides of the “tank” as well.

Mine just arrived today. I'll have to see if I got the first or second batch.

 

Too bad they hold up as ramps just by friction and not through nubs like the titans return ones..

 

Looks like a first batch. The paint is easily rubbing off in areas and the colors don't match well. The tabbing works - but if you sneeze, they fall out.

These seem to work best for display. Not all that great if you decide to handle him a bit.

 

  I was thinking of ordering one after all.
Better wait for more reviews.

Got mine in but atlas is at the work desk with the other like-molds and I’m on leave til August. :/ have to get someone else’s opinion it looks like

 

Man, if only these were injection moulded, not a fan of 3D print striations and paintwear. I'd been vacillating on nabbing these for some TR connection extension, I think it's a pass from me now though.

Would it be possible to have pics of the Overlord tank in tank mode with the ramps still attached to his feet but folded up like in the promo pics of Dai Atlas? They could be used as front shields for the tank..

I think I'm leaning towards Shockwave Labs SL-52 though, but good to know there are options!
