Because I need support posts for painting it, I figure it would be best if I were to connect its support rods. Problem is, they're threaded but they can't bite into the material. So I did the next best thing with my rotary bits to at least set the holes better and then use the JB SuperWeld to bond them. I'll mask them before I paint everything, which won't be tonight because of the rain unfortunately.

Talking about it to a friend who was more interested in the Jagd Doga's yellow parts, for spits and giggles I went to compare it to....

    20190618_222846.jpg

The Narrative, A Packs... obviously not the same color, but it wound up becoming a side track for the night while cement dried on the Rex. With the box open, I trimmed the point nubs from HFIL off of the v crest. .... and then I decided to to amuse myself by doing this to the crest from the C Packs as well.

This is one of those times Godhand Nippers and flat sanding sticks do everything right!

    20190618_225313.jpg

I think I might just stack it up and build both Narratives simultaneously... or all Three equipment sets, I just need to hit the "ship" button at BBTS and I can have the B Pack.

Did the on the sprue paint work for the HG Zaku Kai. Very straight forward kit.
Though I wonder why the inside of the rocket nozzles are red. Is the material of the bell itself red? I feel like I've seen images of soviet-era rocket engines with red interiors, but wouldn't the paint or coating be burned off by the exhaust jet?

Some are white, others yellow, and sometimes blue.

    A man of taste...!

also, you got the Assault Weapon set...So did I! picked it up along with the Xamel. Where did you go for these?

That's definitely one for the Crossbone collection if they ever add it to the RE/100 line.

If only they were going to sell that in the US, I'd get it for my nephew. he loves STEM projects!
....or I'd let him play with mine.

Shiny... but even so, I keep expecting them to tack on the "VERSION NT!" title and give it the Shield Funnels tails.

@Hadlen_Weltall I got a contact in the Netherlands (my home country) that can arrange anything I like upon request both old and new. And with Supernova's Deathscythe Hell, I have the EW team complete.

due to it's scale changing gimmick it seems the RX-Zeromaru is possibly the first kit that uses the SD Cross Silhouette frame on a non-SD "Real Mode" design in this case a 1/144 scale, it surprising manages to hold up well despite using the frame meant for duh, SD kits.

From my understanding, not good. Early RGs had no alternate hands so good luck trying to get them to hold anything securely. The armor parts would rarely ever stay on, and IIRC the shield connector on the gundam itself is borderline useless.

To put it bluntly, it's not good from my understanding. Early RG kits suffers from a "Early Real-Grade Syndrome" in which the pre-molded inner frame will gets loose and fragile over time, and the RG RX-78-2 (which is the first RG kit) suffers from being a kit that is too ambitious and complicated to build for its day.

Yeah, the RG from the beginning really do not hold up well.

The RG Exia Repair is, I believe, merely an "upgrade" kit for the normal RG Exia.

    Finally got this guy test-fitted:

I'm 2 weeks behind schedule based on my original planned timeline. Things have just been busy; my goal is still to get it fully done by August 1st (before my brother's birthday).
Priming will probably start tomorrow or Friday.
