This looks great. I can't wait to get mine. The overall size of it is the most impressive thing about the Figure. Glad they went large.

WOW! I was already sold on this toy before but that's a feature I wasn't even expecting!

When you stated that the knees are "soft", so they seem like detents or ratchets with springs?

Grey plastic feels a bit soft to me (like the old Roadbots...), looks like it could wear out quite fast over time... Or at least between the hands of a kid who would bend the legs frequently.

Thanks for the pic, does it feel like the black plastic on Generations Metroplex's chest ramp door? The texture looks similar in the pic. If it's the same, I think the idea behind it is to give the knee ratchets more give as to push them away a tad during each click to prevent the ratchet and teeth from grinding down over time.

Or I could be wrong and it's designed to fail over time to save money on the design(like this toy seems great so far so something had to give...).

Not a deal breaker to me if so, still looking forward to it.

Yeah....the design seems so perfect on so many levels that HasTak had to screw it up somehow, like with Trypticon's hip ratchets.... (mine had perfect hip ratchets but the shoulder cannons ratchets were broke...cest la vie)

I haven't been enjoying the War Siege line as much as other folks but this definitely seems like a must-have.

of course the major selling point for me is that this particular release hasn't been slathered in bird-shit the design team tried to pass off as "battle damage"...

Curious about the smallest blasters, can they attach to the sides of the helmet? Seems like the only way to make that helmet look anything like the G1 toy. Otherwise that helmet is just a random MMPR Super Megaforce design.

    Thanks for the info.

My comic shop hasn't got a ship notice on their order but I put a hold on one.

Bummer, it sucks that it doesn’t have the twin ear antenna gun things. Hopefully a third party will make add ons to that helmet/battle mask.

Hard to explain... As you close the hand, the peg hole assembly moves toward the middle of the hand. Some kind of lever pushes or retracts it I guess.

    Like so?

It's kinda hard to show, but there's some kind of rocker mechanism between the base of the fingers and the peg hole assembly. One tab pushes against the peg hole assembly as you close the fingers to make it pop out, another offset tab pulls it back in as you open the fingers.

Can only work with bigger figures in order for the mechanism to be sturdy enough... I can't even imagine it working for a Leader class, no enough space to work with.

Can you do a size comparison with TR Sixshot or another TR leader and a CW combiner (not Devastator) too, please.

If I hadn't promised "no more than just the Studio Series Constructicons" I'd be all over this guy. He looks damn near perfect.
