The game is basically "Boss-Fight: The Game" where you craft armor and weapons from the beasts that you defeat in battle. The fun of it is to grow stronger by taking down tougher and tougher foes after every hard-fought battle and the sense of triumph once you finally beat the monster and make what you want off of it. Not to mention, it has a wide variety of play styles for just about every kind of player, so you can find something that suits you or try to master them all. There's lots of stuff in the games explaining why you don't die immediately when you take on these massive beasts, and depending on the game, there is a more prevalent story than what you would be lead to believe. I started out with MH3u, where the storyline was unemphasized, and it's gotten much more emphasized since, with MH4u being the most storyline driven one I've played. (I have yet to get MHW.)
Well I mean, since the Kaiju have been defeated yet again, I guess Hannibal Chau had to turn to the next batch of interdimensional monsters to keep his business going. Grab your ground-up Diablos horn today to get rid of those warts!

Ooh, following a World theme, eh? Slingers, Admiral, very Worldly. Might mean the monster roster will be more along that game than older beasties, might even have the same final boss.
I’ll admit, I do want to see the Monsters brought to life and wreck havoc on the modern world. Would just be sheer awesomeness.
Of course, of course we have military prominence in a movie about a fantasy world where mercenaries where giant silly and cool hide armor and slay monsters.
Yeah that doesn’t really mesh with what this property is supposed to be. On the bright side though, I just read that Tony Jaa will be in the movie too. Hopefully, they give him a really good fight scene of some sort at least.
Well this is the synopsis for the movie A United Nations military team falls into a portal to an alternate dimension, where humans fight off giant monsters. The two groups work together to defend the portal to prevent monsters from entering the portal and invading Earth.
That honestly sounds like a fanfic. But then again, I like a good written crossover fic(like seriously one of my absolute favorites is a MCU/LotR crossover series). Also, Monster Hunter Film Will Largely Use Creatures From Monster Hunter World - IGN
Oh god... That plot really isn't doing itself any favors. Hopefully Anderson doesn't use the hyper-edited style last seen in RE: The Final Chapter.
Well Rathalos/Rathian are a given. Nergigante as well, possibly the final boss if they're not delving into World's story. Deviljho, Diablos, Bazelgeuse have good chances, likely Kirin and Kushala/Teostra too. Some newer monsters as backgrounds/quick flicks. Probably a Kulu-Ya-Ku as comic relief. A decent line-up. Gotta have the palicos though. Part of MH's appeal are the talking cats helping you out. I'm already picturing the classic 'wake up after dimensional drama, sees cat which talks, immediate omigosh-the-cat-is-talking' shtick.
Sounds like the plotline of the Gate anime, which was decent enough. But Monster Hunter and Gate are different tales.
First Footage Of Milla Jovovich's Monster Hunter Movie Breaks Cover Offscreen trailer taken at the Shanghai International Film Festival
Can we just have the movie about how many time Tony Jaa has to kick the monster so he could GET that sword and send the GI Joe extras away please?
