It IS tempting to keep the extra and have him in alt mode though. One of the few figures I have where it's difficult to decide which mode to keep him in on the shelf.

 

I loved both of mine, but in the end I sold my X version. I really liked the matching red vents on the X legs, but I liked the bright white and red of the original so much more. I know that may sound like the opposite of most people's opinion here, but the original white pops in a way that just looked "more right" to me.

There's no way I have the room for two displayed in different modes so that wasn't concern for me. Good luck whatever you decide @Decepticon13, it was tough deciding for sure!

Thanks. I like the X version just fine but I haven't compared them side by side. Not sure I want to break the seal on the reissue because if I decided to sell I'm lowering value by doing so. But I won't know which I prefer if I don't, lol... Soooo...

 

In my experience, breaking the seal doesn't lower the value at all. It should but people still charge just as much and people pay it even if it's been opened, transformed, displayed, etc. Commendable that you want to preserve that value though.

 

Mine will be delivered by my friendly neighborhood mail person tomorrow. I'm off work and this will be a nice surprise to relax with.

I got MP-08 I bought from a board member delivered today and was messing around with him. Trying to plan out my diorama for Grimlock. Its funny. Dinobots were never really my favorite, but ever since I got that Conan idea stuck in my head. Its like "Field Of Dreams" build it and they will come type moments.

Just a note for newer collectors: That is true only for rare or hard to find/high demand figures (holding value after being opened and used). Don't expect to get near full price for most used figures.

 

You always get a little more for MISB... This guy might go for stupid, above retail prices opened, but he still goes for more sealed.

I want to add on to this as well. You might want to pop the seal and check the contents. Some people are having issues with missing parts. Better to check it now and get a resolution with fanstoys instead of having it be 5 yrs from now and there be no more replacement parts. My copy turned out fine with no broken or missing pieces.

 

Yeah, I started doing this last year as well. Any second copy of a figure gets opened and at least, quickly inspected.

I would rather have an easy transaction with a satisfied buyer than to make a little more on the sell. I hate drama.  

 

My Phoenix didnt make the transfer to my local post office today. It made it to the regional distribution center too late.

Funny thing is...If I kept my BBTS order I would still be waiting even longer.
