The return of Ganondorf is really exciting and I'm happy that we're not done with the Breath Of The Wild era.

this, most likely. i'd catch some horses (including the white one and huge one - i call him chonky) but dont really use em in gameplay and some were not fully tamed.

My guess is they'll pull a Metroid Prime and come up with an interesting, in-game reason to strip you of all your end game gear.

One very simple way would be for Zelda to be the playable character who has to rescue Link.
They can circumvent the inevitable backlash by having her be able to wear a "Link disguise" or something.

I mean, there are a few ways they could go. Originally, they were going to have Link lose his hand, being replaced by a prosthetic from Shieka tech which would transform into different items along the quest (hook shot, crossbow, etc). I could see them do that this time OR even flip between controlling Link and Zelda

If worried about what gear Link possesses at the start of the game, they could and probably just have it that he returned The Champion's weapons back to their respective places of origins and just grew to going back to just using the Master Sword and Shield since he has probably recovered more of his memory and that is what feels right to use with him. If he doesn't have to depend on other weapons and in vice versa armor, why keep them?

As for not being powerful at the start of the sequel, honestly some form of magic released by either this seal or Ganondorf himself could weaken or seal the Master Sword once more. Forcing Link to go back to the basics or possibly depend on a new weapon system if they decide to go that route.

Two things I can see happening with clothes: the default would be the blue shirt and Hylian pants OR they go nuts and actually allow BOTW2 to read your first game saved data and allow you to port over clothes, but with nerfed stats or no stats at all and it's all just cosmetic now... I'm currently replaying the first game to complete all the shrines and would kill to be able to port over the hero clothes you get from that, bonuses or no.

It's so frustrating... I totally lost my timing with shield reflecting and I got SUPER cocky with the guardians... it... it didn't go well. The Ganonblights were SUPER easy this time around though. Defeated Ruta and Medoh super quick (Ruta mostly to get the gust ability because holy hell does that make traveling easier!) Next up is to grab the Master Sword and as many shrines as I can before doing the next two beasts. I want to get through the DLC before I finish Ganon off this time :D

BotW plays pretty fast and loose with the buffs it's willing to let you have (especially if you own a lot of Amiibos). If the sequel takes the same approach, keeping some gear across games as a bonus might not be a big deal. Rather than explicitly nerf the equipment, they can just say the monsters got stronger, the new hot and cold areas are hotter/colder than where you've been before, etc. The one special case might be the Master Sword.

Oh wow, so that’s why the seaside village felt so familiar. That’s fantastic!

after almost 300 hours, i completed the korok quest! the last few took a bit of cross referencing different maps. BOTW's open world never felt that big to me till i was trying to find the last 100 and you really had to comb the map and find koroks you overlook in the most obvious spot.

Nice work! I've got a little over 200 left and I'm dreading finding those last few. I feel like I'll get to the point where there is one left and then just descend into madness. I really want that trophy though as it's absolutely the perfect reward for something so tedious and pointless.
