Yeah everyone's arms are super long; I've noticed with this line that they seems to just copy the figure-rise models, even down to the included hands. And while I don't collect this line, because I do prefer the figure-rise models because they just look better & have blast effects, even if you have to build 'em first, I do think Gohan and... Gogeta(?) look pretty good.
Just a heads up - Kid Buu and SS kid Gohan are available in my part of the world (Asia) so they should be out in the US soon. As usual the scale is off but Buu and Gohan are still shorter than Goku. I may grab a few to mess around with my kids!

Oh man, I was just thinking today that this line needs a Krillin! And now I see this! I’m going to at least get Frieza, Cell, Kid Buu, Piccolo, Krillin and from there I’ll pick and choose. I hope Bandai America redo base Goku and Vegetable as the heads seem too squish-ed?
When they are going to give them knees better knees, they also need butterfly joint and a ab crunch, between ab crunch and buttefly prefer the butterfly they need it for the kame ha pose
Here's a comparison pix of SH Figuarts, Dragon Stars and Figure rise Goku Father (Goku) and son (Gohan) I realised now why series 1 Goku (base form) is off...the body isn't muscular enough. I tried a head swap with Gohan's body and overall the figure looks good. Only problem is that the neck peck on Gohan's body is too small. If BOA reissues Goku (base form) with this body, I'll buy it. TBH I prefer Dragon Stars because the figures are taller.
Thanks for posting the comparison pics. How well can the Dragon Star figures crouch? The wave shown above with robed Gohan/Piccolo looks like a good jump-on point for me since I'm very behind(haven't watched all the anime, in the manga I'm at the part right before Goku turns Super Saiyan and between that I've played the Dragon Stars game and seen clips of Super).
I'm afraid off-hand I can't answer your question, man. Can you give me 2 or 3 days to try out and take some pictures? Do you have any figure you have in mind? If my memory serves me well, I have: i) series 1 ii) Broly wave (not all opened) iii) Fused Zamasu wave iv) Kale wave (not all opened and missing Cabba). v) Piccolo vii) Majin Buu Let me know?
All good man take your time, I just want to see how well a figure like Dragon Stars Goku or Vegeta can kneel/crouch, since they use the old-style Figuarts hips.
Ok man! I'll take a couple of shots with a couple of Gokus and Vegetas. The sculpt on Goku has improved but I can't say the same for Vegeta...BOA need to improve on the franchise 2nd (probably) most favourite character.
@Shin Densetsu Hope I got the poses correct man! Here's Goku! As you can see the articulation for the earlier Goku is slightly better than the later version (Ultra Instinct). The figures don't have ab crunches and the ankles lack a hinge (?) for them to move up and down. Vegeta is below...my bad as I'm unfamiliar with this photo sharing site that I'm currently using. Nice! You just reminded me that I have Frieza first form too! I need to dig him out of my store room!

Goku Varients from my collection Vegeta Variants from my collection The "big 3" villains from the original DBZ series! Frieza, Perfect Cell and Bluu! The irony is that as the Gok and Vegeta sculpts are improving, the articulation isn't as good. I'm fine with the villains...IMO the sculpt is good...just that the sizes abit big - especially Friexa and Bluu...and oh, Vegeta (now considered a hero) too.
I think my favorite figure right now is actually a tie between Perfect Cell and SS4 Goku. Amusingly enough SS4 Goku doesn't seem to have better articulation than most of the other Goku's in my collection. I was honestly disappointed with Ultra Instinct Goku given what a big deal that form was made to be in Super.
For me it's between First Form Frieza and Kale. I might give it to Frieza since he isn't a BAF, though it would've been nice if he was a bit smaller.
