Thank God it has the googly eyes. I honestly love that....especially when they are painted extra crooked. Some people consider it a flaw...for me, it's a feature.
Picked up Mothra today. I don't see it as anywhere near the asking price, but it is a decent figure for a slightly movable statue. I may get Rodan if the wings move or are bendable. Saw the Assassin Predador, the comic two pack with the Bad Blood and Enforcer, and all the video game Aliens today at the same Target. Pretty cool seeing that many figures together.
Picked up the 1962 Goji! He looks pretty dope (in a good way) and the main reason I got him is because his aesthetics seems to suit the Mezco Kong I picked up some time back! At first I was apprehensive as Kong seems bulkier but they both look good together!
LOL! I suspect Goji will definitely win his "rematch" against the big ape. How I wished Neca will release their version of the '62 Kong.
That movie poster really has Godzilla breathing hot death on people with the phrase "awesome!" below it? That's like wildly inappropriate but great at the same time.
WOOT! Scored the three Turtles 2 packs I was missing thanks to a friend! Very nice figures and very happy to finally FINALLY have a nice 6" set of ninja turtles with a damned Shredder! Now off to eBay with the two Foot Soldiers as I have a strict rule about not having troop builders in my collection.
Just got out of the remake to Child's Play, man I hope NECA reveals an Ultimate Buddi from the remake at SDCC I'd love to add this incarnation to the Child's Play portion of my horror display. On a side note, any reason as to why we've only ever gotten one release of Leatherface in the Ultimate line? Seems like he'd have as much potential for releases as Jason, I've been sitting here waiting for an Ultimate Pretty Woman Leatherface since I got the original Ultimate.
Welp, went to move the hand on my Adam West Batman and the entire hand BROKE OFF. This wasn't an issue before. This is now 2 parts on that 7" figure that broke randomly. Make that 3! Peg on a swappable hand snapped off when I 1st got it. NOTE: I do not play with my figures like a kid with tonka trucks playing together. NECA can sculpt their ass off, their sculpts and intricate attention to detail remains progressively stunning to me. I'm done having random breakages though. I'll just stare at the nice pics online.
I stopped buying Neca for a long time because of their breakage issues. It wasn't until I learned about the soaking trick (soaking them in warm water) that I started buying them again. I still have figures breaking on me but not nearly as much as I used to. Yea, that's bullshit. Oh well.
I'll have to try the warm water soak the next time I have an issue. The only breakage I have experienced with a NECA figure so far was on a T-800 Endoskeleton figure. One of the shoulders was completely stuck when I took the figure out of the package and the joint just snapped like glass without warning. It was like totally fused prior to the breakage. Luckily, Target let me return it and exchange it for another one they had on the shelf. As for the rest of the NECA figures I have, I lube all of the joints with silicone oil the moment I remove them from the package. I haven't had any other issues so far. On an unrelated note, I almost caved and bought the wife a Golden Girls Sophia figure today...she would have laughed her ass off at it. Plus, I have a need to see what Sophia has hiding under that dress.
I recently purchased the Kenner tribute Mantis Alien. Many of the joints were stuck and the whole thing is cast entirely in poison green translucent plastic so I was a bit worried that I was going to snap something, but no, boiling water did the trick.
Bought the purple razor claw video game alien at Target. I like it. Color scheme surprisingly works well. Almost bought the other one but, nah. Game Stop had Pennywise. Almost bought that too because it looked really good. Just not a big enough fan so I skipped it
