I dunno...I mean, I hate to be a stick in the mud, but the outer box looks like the House of M Spiderman from the SP//dr wave with the Walgreens exclusive sticker stuck on it. The inner box with the toy...looks like a spidey from somewhere else. I did a search and came up with this: marvel legends SPIDER-MAN classics mcfarlane super poseable 2004 toy biz action figures And it looks eerily similar. I think someone did a toyswap and put the bogus sticker on there Then again, though...the toy itself is worth quite a bit apparently.
I'm pretty sure he's aware of that, especially since there should be product photos on the back of the box. But it's also pretty well-known that the figure that was swapped is decently valued on the secondary market, so I think he made out good on that trade.
*shrugs* If it is the McFarlane super poseable Spidey...it is worth quite a bit. At least I see asking prices for it being kinda high. But it definitely isn't a Walgreens Exclusive. Yeah, when I looked it up...I can see why Dao put it in a protector case
Really? That lanky hunk of junk is sought after on the secondary market? And now I know. Where are the blue and red lasers?
That's Toybiz figures for you. But despite the lankiness, it's pretty accurate to the art of the era. McFarlane and J. Scott Campbell drew him pretty wiry. It's still a popular figure because it's pretty much the most poseable 6"-scaled Spidey toy out there.
But articulated jaws, and the 'real' Stormbreaker. I don't have him yet, but from reviews on youtube, it looks pretty cool. It probably looks great in person/hand like most Marvel Legends. So don't horse around and pick up this figure!
Those were easily detachable unfortunately, happened to 1 of the straps on my Cap. Damn, it's been 7 years since those Avengers Legends were out at Walmart along with Amazing Spider-Man movie Legends. That year, movie Hulk was the highlight for me and movie Lizard(not a fan of the movie design but that figure as a toy is fun in-hand).
So...if people were still looking for classic Mysterio, now might be a good time to pull the trigger. I just received an e-mail stating the reissue was cancelled.
Oh yeah, the collectible shop near me had his case canceled 2 weeks back. I completely forgot about it. It's why I tend not to wait on restocks these days. Prof X may suffer a similar fate.
Keep in mind with these reissue cases; for them to become more than listings Hasbro has to get enough preorders from the shops they're offering them to. This is made harder by the fact that these "solid cases" are typically only offered to online retailers and specialty/comic shops. They're not offered to the big brick and mortar chains that account for 80% or more of Hasbro's business and therefore you don't have the ordering power behind it that regular waves due. But Hasbro still has to get enough orders to make it worthwhile on their end too. If there isn't enough demand than these things get cancelled. Honestly, he's really not been that difficult to get impo that Mysterio needed a reissue... especially since I've seen the Lizard wave restocked multiple times both in the wild and at online shops.
Secondary market will go up for Mysterio. If you guys want comic book version of him get him now before prices becomes like Cyclops. With the movie coming out he might be more sought after. Who knows if they will reissue the wave. They might..they might not.
