Got this email from A3U, because colors are apparently hard to make:

Glad that we're getting news from this, but still no real news on when Lost Change will be available. A3U still has my other 2 on hold since I preordered the 3 new ones at the same time, under the hope that they were all going to be completed last year. Oh well, live and learn... never preorder a Fansproject (or 3rd party) and expect it on time.

Are there other characters they can produce from existing molds? If so, valid point. If not, apples and oranges. However, the good news is nobody has to buy this crap if they're not interested.

 

Eh, most combiners now are in the "MP scale", so this one being deluxe-sized is also kinda apples to oranges, like kibble says. Plus, this is from Fansproject, which really isn't up to much these days, so I don't think it's holding up anything new or unique from being produced. And 3 of the bots already exist, so it's really something that just needs to be finished.

I still liked this version of the Stunticons for Classics better than the CW version, despite the different aesthetics and a frustrating Motormaster transformation. I'll have to go back for...whichever of these have actually released at some point.

LOL and I thought Gigapower had the record for longest release! Hey all power to anyone who's waited this long for FP G2 Stunticons/Menasor!

I don't know if it really counts as longest release - Fansproject themselves never intended to do more than the first "Kar Krash" a while back, which was done as a Con exclusive somewhere or other.

Last year A3U decided they wanted to do the whole team, so they did - this isn't Fansproject directly doing it, rather A3U is doing it themselves as a store exclusive. This guy was originally scheduled for end of 2018, obviously there's been a delay on that. But they could still possibly have it done by end of this year (maybe?).

I'm looking forward to seeing them finished, I've a soft spot for the G2 stunticons and while I liked having Kar Krash standing alone with some other FP figs on my shelf, having a team for him to call "home" is pretty nice.

MT's SG Technobots though, assuming they ever intend to finish those, that might be a record holder.

@offrampclimber I actually had contacted them several times asking for status on this, kept getting "the owner is at so and so convention, we'll have an update soon" and so on. Was pleasantly surprised to see this in my mailbox as well. My other 2 are also on hold as I preordered them all at the same time - would have been nice to been given the option of shipping the other two since this one has been so delayed.

What recolor of FansProject Intimidator would you be most likely to buy?

The Autobot team would have been a slick repaint. I'd have liked to see more Micromaster homages from them by doing the Race Car Patrol and Overload. But I think G2 was probably the extent that anyone would really do - anything else would be an even harder sell still.

 

@deruberhanyok I had contacted them a few times too for status updates. I'm actually excited to get these, but disappointed that I rushed into the preorder and this figure has held it up so long. I'll be more restrained on Petrol when he eventually comes out.

This probably is the last hurrah for that original wave of 3rd party CHUG combiners that started with Colossus back in the day; fitting that it's a G2 tribute to a figure that also had tons of problems getting into people's hands.  

 

M3 is still one of my fav combiners ever, but collecting these G2 variants must be headache-inducing. Are they going to re-release the G2 Breakdown too?

 

He'll supposedly be re-released when they release their G2 Motormaster.

 

Well at least it's anupdate. They should have communicated this way earlier, but I guess certain traits and weaknesses can't be rectified in life.

And of course, no mention of release dates lol. Oh well, I'm still down. I really like how K-Bone turned out.

 

Kudos to FP, among the best colorists around. Wish every company (3P and otherwise) cared so much about contrast, complementary colors, and "matching plastic vs paint".

Ok, so i'm trying to figure out which ones of these were actually released

I ordered all 4 from A3U . . . probably a year ago. They shipped me K-10 (K-Bone) and K-11 (Downforce). The last update said K-12 Lost Chance was done and would be at TF Con. Were people able to buy it there?

K-09 Kar Krash was released ages ago but it hasn't been re-released for those that pre-ordered this set . . . but did they have any stock at the last convention?

 

K-Bone, Downforce and Lost Chance are now released. This Kar Krash is the original release. I think the re-release is supposed to have the redesigned chest so that all the bots can do the scramble-city switcheroo.
