Oh for sure, I'm just saying for me that's a rough buy as there's a lot of figs ahead of him that I could get with that type of cash.

If I get anywhere in the vicinity of $250 it'd be for the Macross Quarter at $400-ish. That's one of my top 5 holy grails (fully armored Valkyrie 25s class would be another).

That's too expensive for me. It looks great, but there's a lot of things that I can do with that money and many more figures I could get.

I'm not proud of myself but the more I see this guy the harder time I have talking myself out of it. I need to own everything even vaguely Car Robots-related eventually and this guy looks too good to pass up, even if I'm already embarrassed at how much I'm spending on him.

Eh, better than a Revoltech as it has diecast metal parts and is twice the size. More like $245 for a non-transforming Dynamic Action Soul of Chogokin figure, which typically retails around $150 at import cost. As this is probably a shorter run than those, the cost goes up, so I can see how this could stray above $200.

That said, there are many things I'd rather buy with that money. I can see this eventually going on clearance for $150-175 at BBTS or TFSource.

But those are such different figures. Why would you compare them?

You are, of course, correct. I was being somewhat facetious. I'm sure this scratches the itch of a percentage of the collecting population. I do not fall into that group.

Because 245$ for a nontransforming figure is a little absurd in my opinion.

Well yeah sure if you think so. But I don’t see the point in comparing two things with very different purposes? Like of course you’d spend $245 on something completely different which you obviously like.

New pics of OP look good, but that alt. blue head looks a little oversized IMO; looks like a bobble head.

Ultra Magnus' arms are still a little too Popeye, especially in the combined mode too. Definitely need to see more pics.

I can appreciate this for what it is but the price doesn't make sense to me. Similar action figures like sentinel riobot or metal builds boast some top notch engineering (e.g. sliding armor when bending the leg) while stuff like the 3a dlx line has the trademark 3a paintjob. This guy doesn't seem to quite reach the calibre of either aforementioned toylines.

I’ll have to see the physical forms of Magnus to appreciate it. It’s a bit odd but I like it.

Totally agreed on the head - it doesn't even look that much like Fire Convoy, and it seems way too big when compared to the rest of his body. There's pretty much no chance I'll be displaying this thing without the Super Fire Convoy head anyway, but I could have probably lived with the weird size if they got him anywhere close to looking like Fire Convoy's normal mode.

I’m surprised no one has repost these pictures yet from the TFcon thread.

I’m in for one just for the combine mode with their UM. I would get two if there was an unarmored mode since I prefer that over his armor mode
