How many different Toa teams were there? Cause from I gathered, their seemed to be focus on two specific groups. Mata/Nuva and Inika/Mahri.
As do the rest of the Makuta. Can't recall if Teridax was particularly powerful among his species, though I want to say he was given his status as Miserix's lieutenant and later leader of the Makuta as a whole.
That reminds me, at the end of Bionicle Tahu becomes... probably the most obscenely powerful Toa in the entire series thanks to the Golden Armor, granting him the powers of all the Kraata. He doesn't even need the armor to use it, he just has them now. It's a pity that the tradeoff is that he's a Stars figure.
So it has been around 2 years since I've first shown this. Here's him, the AS-3 Antlion, in the present. Might as well show some other MoCs I've been working on. Neither of them have any true names yet.
Three main ones in terms of sets of figures-- Mata/Nuva, Metru/Hordika, Inika/Mahri. One third of the Toa Hagah were released as well, and I think there were a couple one-off Toa like Lhikan, Takanuva, and Lesovikk. I think the Toa Metru were my personal favorite in terms of figures. Obviously the Toa Mata started it all, but the Metru being able to pose like that was really neat. Knees and elbows were kinda novel back then. I liked their masks as well, although they weren't as iconic as the Mata's. I liked their proportions better than the Inika for sure; they were pretty flat-looking even if they had better colors than the Metru. I dunno why they had all that grey during those years; I feel like if they'd used proper secondary colors (like the Piraka had colored joint pieces) they'd look a helluva lot better out the box. General question for the thread, I suppose: there were a few sets that went through the idea phase before being scrapped (Toa Iruini and Norik were originally supposed to be Nidhiki and Dume, for instance). Which ones would y'all have liked to have seen get made? Apparently there was going to be a Toa Ahkmou set produced in 2008 and he was going to be a Toa of Shadow to go along with the Makuta that came out that year, and I thought it was a neat idea. The Piraka had that kinda Toa-but-corrupted thing going on, but I'd have liked to see what they did with Ahkmou. Although... considering what the Toa Nuva looked like that year, perhaps he'd not have been recognizable as himself...
I would have absolutely loved to have gotten Toa Ahkmou. The Takanuva set we got instead was fine by all accounts, but man, what a missed opportunity.
I redid all 5 of my reboot toa (i did not get gali for some reason) and all 4 bionicle beasts (i did not get the air one or the ice one for some reason) i made these to be in scale with hero factory and i got rid of the arm swinging gimmick i would like to credit @Bountyhunter3232 for Lewa and Pohatu hopefully this thread gets restarted but without further ado Here is Tahu i changed his swords because i thought the other ones were too big (and they broke but i was not going to use them for him anyway) with some Photo editing skills (which i lack) this could be a really cool photo Next is Lewa And next is Onua i extended his drill hammer because i thought the official one was too short and i took out the gear waist swivel here is a gun i based off of the 2008 Onua here are some Shots of the chest incase anyone wants to see how i did it Next is Pohatu one of the coolest parts of Pohatu is the he has chain swords ah classic 2001 Pohatu style and last but not least and most definitely my favorite Kopaka i took inspiration from his Nuva design for the big sword/spear thing and i took inspiration from the 2001 version for his shield SKIS! Again i took inspiration from his Nuva design thats it for the toa next is Bionicle beasts!
And now for the Bionicle beasts! I got rid of all of the gimmicks besides Ikir First is Ikir next is Terak next is Ketar next is Akida and now for combined modes! I had to move parts around for all of them for Tahu i had to take his back plate off View attachment 28338302 GROUP SHOT!
