    Hey guys.

So for the next game, what do you want Nintendo to include?

For me, the biggest one is, I would love to be able to choose where the Villagers move in my town. Similar to HHD, new villagers could be waiting for you in Town Hall and after chatting, you can take them around town just like Nook does with you and pick a spot for them.

    Other wants are:

-Would be to have the mechanics of Happy Home Designer integrate with normal interior decorating. Such as the new grid, which gives you more spacing power. Ceiling items, rugs and etc.

-Would be have Main Street be like in Happy Home Designer. Lots of shops and just much more lively. Where as NPC shops come in after a certain amount of time and money, you could go to Happy Homes to create, fund, decorate empty lots into new personal stores. Just like in HHD. Gives such control for being Mayor and adds a fun new side project to do.

-Would be to add some of the Amenities from Pocket Camp as Public Work Projects or perhaps as personal events you can set up yourself as mayor. Some are just really nice for town designing, while as an event mechanic, you can make those hollow days between long periods where there are no events, a little more fun.

-I do like the idea of different locations in Pocket Camp, be cool if the RV returns as a mechanic to go to different in-game areas, even for exploration alone. Though each one could have a different kind of event or NPC to interact with. Maybe Villagers will ask to go see an area and you can take them for a day trip.

Mostly its just incorporating everything from the spin-offs into one big beautiful game.

There's more I'd like to add, but it's nitpicks. Such as wanting more villagers, weather effects, more villager interactions and etc.

I just want to pick where the houses go so they don't mess up a park or other patterns or tree's I make! Had a park area with a hedge path (and I payed for the tree's by the way) and turned on the game and a stupid villager put his house right in the middle of it messing it up! All that work wasted! My sis was more mad as she did tons of cool patters to the town like a lake and boardwalk area and other thing and houses come and messed it up. As mayor you need to pick where they go or bring back the signs from the gamecube game

From the Bell Tree Forums, a list of all known features right now:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, from the E3 trailer, these are a few key points I picked up on:

    • Multi-layered towns ~ It appears that towns will have multiple layers a la City Folk again.
    • Beach Rocks ~ Big rocks on the beach, appears you can go on them.
    • NookPhone ~ Who knows what this does. Maybe we can order supplies? Keep track of goals? Interested to see. **TREEHOUSE ~ includes Camera, Nook Miles, DIY Recipes, Map, and Call Islander**
    • Nook Miles ~ Works like an "airline program," get miles from doing certain activities, able to be used for "items and activities." It seems the game rewards you for doing classic animal crafting things like fishing and catching bugs.
    • Camera ~ App on the NookPhone to take pictures with filters and a zoom in/out function, can also take pictures through the switch function.
    • Where's Isabelle? ~ She didn't make an appearance in the trailer, but I imagine she's still in the game. We probably have to build something to unlock her.
    • Picking up trees/flowers ~ It appeared you can dig up trees directly for saplings and take buds from flowers while leaving the stems. I'm assuming this allows for easier customization?
    • Backpacks ~ Several people have pointed out human characters wearing backpacks. Perhaps an expanded/advanced inventory system? Idk I'm just spit-balling here.
    • Inventory ~ New inventory interface, could possibly be expanded with a backpack, 20 spaces.
    • Crafting ~ Thanks Roshan for pointing this out, can't believe I missed it lol but yes it appears we can craft certain tools/furniture. There also looked to be some sort of planning board (1:11 bottom right in trailer). Tom Nook and the Nooklings also appear to start in a crafting tent (whether this stays or they upgrade has yet to be seen). **TREEHOUSE - done through DIY Recipes, looks like basic stuff, materials include logs, rocks, and even weeds, some higher tier items need other already crafted items to make. You can get crafting recipes by finding certain items, getting them from villagers, or buying them**
    • Flower Crown ~ Thanks Rebeth13 for pointing this out, at about 1:15 in the trailer you can see the player with a flower crown. Pretty interesting, while it's not something I'd personally wear, it allows for more player customization. **TREEHOUSE ~ a crafted recipe **
    • Sitting villagers ~ At 1:03 Olivia is sitting next to a tree top left.
    • 8 players ~ The ending shot had 8 human players at the same time, perhaps expanded multiplayer? **TREEHOUSE ~ confirmed up to 8 people living on an island and 8 people playing at a time, 4 per a single switch (see co-op below) and through wireless and online multiplayer**
    • Paths ~ Actual paths! At 1:11 the human creates them with the shovel.
    • Pole-Jumping ~ Yes, you can pole jump over rivers. Don't know how I feel about this, but it implies we're going to have to build bridges most likely. **TREEHOUSE - I didn't see any bridges on the map so this could be very true**
    • Outside Furniture ~ Players appear to be able to have furniture around their house, more PWP-based furniture around the town. (Big thanks to Chouchou for these 4 points) **TREEHOUSE - furniture can be placed directly outside!**
    • Nook Inc. ~ Tom Nooks own a company with a "getaway package," and the Nooklings will "have a store" with Nook Inc. Can sell stuff initially to Timmy, such as weeds. He also sells basic furniture, flowers, sapling, and medicine. The company starts in a tent, the billboard is next to it.
    • Beach Tents ~ You can put your tent on a beach, with a few assorted items to start out. Appears to be an advanced radio as well.
    • Fluid beaches ~ Beaches are no longer seperated by a giant cliff but rather fluid as in titles before New Leaf.
    • Easier home design ~ Per Treehouse, can move in "half units" like HHD.
    • New music ~ sneak peak of 10:00AM music in Treehouse. It's different from other games, as expected.
    • Animals in tents ~ Animals living in tents until houses are built? Tough lol.
    • Hemispheres ~ Yes! Hemispheres! Seasons now align depending on which hemisphere you are in.
    • Flimsy Tools ~ don't seem to do much to the environment but can be used to gain materials.
    • Local Co-Op ~ By sharing joycons, you can play in the same town at the same time with a friend right next to you. If you ever played Viva Pinata:Trouble In Paradise, it appears to be similar to this. You can change the "leader" so the camera focuses on them. Up to 4 players on a single switch.
    • Dynamic Wind ~ Wind can blow trees at differing rates, amazing atmospheric feature.
    • Map Size ~ The map appears to be small as-is, but the people mentione dthey are still working.
    • Clams ~ Clams can be found spouting sand on the beach and dug up. These can be used to craft fishing bait.
    • Airplane Icon ~ There's an airplane icon on the map on the bottom by the beach...wonder what it could be?

That's all for now. Are there any new things y'all picked up on as well that haven't been mentioned?
EDIT: Added Treehouse stuff, there was a lot so I probably missed something lol.

I will say this. I hope and expect that the final outcome or look is that we can build a very well developed town a la NL Main Street or HHD Town Square in comparison.

I do like how much control you seem to have with the landscaping.

But I would love the option to upgrade that Nook's tent into an actual Nook's Cranny.

Just have to wait and see.

Anyone catch the giant building by the water in the treehouse footage near the end at 22:04. They show it for a second they move off screen fast like they want to hide it. Kappn area? Airport to other peoples islands?

Also looks like you own the island everyone comes to live on!

That’s actually fine for me, me and my partner were contemplating getting a second switch just so we could play together.

    Updates:

A new IGN article has a crapload of new informations on how interactions work with villagers.
    • When you start off on your remote, deserted island, you are accompanied with Tom Nook, Timmy, Tommy and two randomly chosen villagers
    • These two random villagers actually bought into the Nook Inc. Getaway Package with you and as such "because they invested in this package that they have as much of a right to stay on the island as you do".
    • But, they will ask you for your opinion before they plop down their house "However, Kyogoku said before they choose a spot for their home, they’ll check with you to see if it’s okay. If you don’t like where they settle down you can tell them you don’t want to build in that particular spot and move their house location to wherever you see fit"
    • Aya Kyogoku said that the relationship the players have with these two starting villagers usualle grows into a close bond. "With [New Horizons], because you’re moving to a deserted island with other animals, the relationship that you have with these two first couple of animals is you’re kind of on the same starting ground. It’s a very new type of a relationship. I know that a lot of the Animal Crossing fans have their favorites and not so favorite animals. One thing I can definitely is that with the development team, there’s a lot of people who say ‘Hey, I didn’t really care about these two animals at first, but actually, now that I’ve moved to this island together with them, they’re really starting to grow on me.’ and start to have a new type of relationship with them.”
    • Building on the deserted island should not feel totally disorienting for the Animal Crossing fans although buildings are not built in the order we are used to in New Leaf
    • The two animals that invested with you in the Getaway Package are also indebted to Tom Nook and have to repay their own loan
    • Kyogoku said there is a new system to invite new "animals to the island, but not necessarily seek out one of Animal Crossing's many animals."
    • The animal villagers cannot be forced out of the island (including the first two), but they can move out of the island somehow if they so desire.
    • It seems repaying your loan to Tom Nook unlocks new services or new buildings
    • You don't need to repay your neighbor's debt (in the case of the two animals that invested in the Getaway Package with you). They will pay their loan back at their own pace whether or not you pay back your own loan. "You don’t need to worry about having to upgrade all the Islanders’ houses"
    • Nook Miles are a new currency that has been created to encourage people to do certain activities, like catching bugs or fish. "Then, they can exchange Nook Miles for special things, like a Nook Inc. uniform, DIY recipes, and other services."
    • "There are no new personality types."
    • "The Nook Phone will get new apps, like the design feature from New Leaf."
    • "There are new ways to improve your friendship with Islanders, like gifting them crafted items."
    • "Islanders can teach you new DIY recipes."
    • "You can’t set up a tent on a friend’s island."

    Also Isabelle has been confirmed

“At first on the deserted island, you have Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy, and a few other animals that have moved to the island through Getaway Package with you,” Kyogoku says. As you play, you can increase the population on the island, and it starts resembling more of a village.

“Depending on the population, the development level of the island will change, so you may start to see more new characters added to the island,” Kyogoku says. While many creatures will be included in the overall list, a familiar face may also join the roster.

“We want you to look forward to what kind of characters you’ll be encountering as you play through the game,” Kyogoku says. “But one thing that I could definitely say about Isabelle is that as the island develops a little more and it needs a little bit more support then Isabelle might see some sort of use on the island.”

Another interview goes in to talk about that Nook understands what the player needs, if you are living in a rustic tent and environment, he won't see the need to other certain amenities. But as the player progresses , he will inquire about certain features that may develop the island further.

Times are hard for good ol' Sonny apparently

Nintendo confirms Mr. Resetti lost his job thanks to 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'

In an interview with Mashable during E3 2019, Animal Crossing: New Horizons' project lead Aya Kyogoku officially announced that Mr. Resetti lost his job at the Reset Surveillance Center due to the upcoming Switch title's new auto-save function.

"I think this will be a positive thing for the player, because in New Horizons you can stop playing in the middle of your game and it'll still save," says Kyogoku. "But unfortunately because there's no necessity to reset the game or reset button on the Switch, Mr. Resetti had a hard time. He was laid off from his position."

"We also believe that Mr. Resetti is looking for a new job after his layoff. So please look forward to that," Kyogoku teases, potentially hinting that he'll assume a new role.

Sorry for back-to-back posts, but I've got a question for those still playing New Leaf. How do you go about obtaining a bronze trophy in the bug-off? I just can't seem to get that "not good enough for second place" bug.

Need to catch one of the lower scoring bugs just once or until Nat says the standings.

    Lowest score is 0-19 points

The following insects for that are:

    Ant
    Brown Cicada
    Cicada Shell
    Flea
    Fly
    Mosquito
    Moth
    Pill Bug
    Robust Cicada
    Walker Cicada

Best to nab one of these before the event day.

Also data saves on your switch not a sd card so if your switch is broke your town is history!

Amiibo can be used for the game in some way.

    On a lighter note--
