Slight correction, while the scene is indeed featured in episode 29, that's just a clipshow, the original appearance of that fight was in episode 25, "The Conclusion of a Battle".

Said episode also features one usage of the Lion Typhoon where the lion head stays robotic looking so - I don’t know which one is supposed to be correct at this point, the robotic version makes more sense though.

 

I, on the other hand, would be rather disappointed if they had added any superfluous or extraneous detail that wasn't present in the original source material.

For me, figures are the physical representation of an on-screen character that I can touch and play with, something that transcends the boundary between fiction and reality that allows me to interact with the characters from the cartoon in a visceral manner. In order to maintain this delicate relationship, accuracy to the source material is paramount. Other than one or two exceptions, I have never actually purchased figures that were not faithful recreations of their on-screen counterparts. While I admit intricate detail looks nice, buying something simply because it looks nice will simply obliterate my budget.

In addition, Masterpiece should mean the definitive version of. If they are making a figure that is supposed to represent a specific iteration of the character, any additional detail would make it less than a Masterpiece. So yes, ironically, the less detail the figure has the more accurate it is and consequently more of a Masterpiece.

 

Makes sense. Cause like what else are you buying? Takara are the only ones to have such an incredibly high code. Everyone can kinda do whatever they want.

Yikes! Thats pretty much on the high side. Im guessing its 10k yen cheaper. Say like 20k to 25k yen max. Only time will tell.

 

I think it looks cheesy, and wouldn't pay more than $25 bucks for it.
