I really did think this was going to be one of those books that start slow and turns into a heavy action book. The book would introduce the new characters, give us a reason to invest in them and then have some crazy event that would turn the story into all-out action. As it is, it's just a boring procedural drama that doesn't do much of anything. I don't mind that type of story in a cop drama or a murder mystery novel, but a comic is not the right place for this sort of story.

@ProtectronPrime is right, a dynamic art style with a lot of life and vibrancy would have made a huge difference in this book. Oh well.

    Posted this elsewhere but...

I hope with this reboot we see a more Dreamwave take on Sentinel. In that continuity as well as G1 he was a true Prime and considered a "giant among giants". In the prose Dreamvave novels he was huge towering presence much bigger, stronger, and more imposing than Optimus and had been prime for the first 500,000 years of the Great War.

I liked that Optimus felt pressure and tried to live up to his predecessor and it will make Meagatron's victory of Sentinel that much more impressive.

I just hope we get Primes who are GOOD, not a bunch of megalomaniac despots.

Okay so I was talking to my buddies and rereading the issue...It's possible that Cyclonus isn't devoted to Exarchon but possibly "guarding" Cybertron from him. Which is why that little dead dude is like "He's not coming back, man" . Cyc was also standing at a monument that was dedicated to the last battle against Exarchon.

You know one thing I do like? The sense of community, that these iterations of the characters have history. I like it, still think the story they’re trying to tell would be better as a novel.

A Transformers novel penned by this dude would be amazing. There's so much more you can cover within a single book compared to like 40 issues of a single comic.

What are you smoking? Sentinel Prime wasn't in G1,nor Dreamwave, nor did Dreamwave release prose novels.

He was only mentioned in the War Within Vol.1 but as Optimus predecessor. He was described in decent detail in The Transformer Trilogy by David Cian which was set in the Dreamwave continuity.

He was in the Sunbow cartoon too. He was U-Haul bot who gave the Matrix to alpha trion.

I was happy to see Cyclonus again. Flamewar was a nice surprise. I'm hoping the next issue has a bit more action. Although, I did enjoy Bumblebee throwing some punches.

After sticking with the comic for 7 issues, I don't appreciate that the story spins its wheels and accomplishes incredibly little in the bulk of each issue only to end on exciting cliffhangers. That's not a good balance of interest in my opinion. I'm still interested in reading further because of brand loyalty I suppose, but at this point I'm more invested in the IDW iteration of Sonic the Hedgehog than Transformers.

Worse yet he is confused with Rumble. Rubble might as well be named Plot-Device for all practical purposes

We almost got a whole page of action, we might get there by the end of the series.

easily my favourite issue since the reboot began .

i enjoyed Bumblebee losing his cool and the Cyclonus story seems interesting too .

I am bored of reading about Senators so it was nice to have a break from the politics .

I prefered the more detailed artwork but would have liked it to have been throughout the entire issue .

    Certainly an improvement though
