a MMC representative said both Titanika and R-14 Commotus sold less than ideal which I find hard to believe considering the demand for them, and that there will be no re-issues. I am disappoint.

 

This is correct. Initial demand and pre-orders didn't make the run sell out at release. It happened after awhile. The demand came after more positive word got out, and the remaining stock available after pre-orders, sold out.

However, don't give up. Make noise. Just make sure if you're going to be part of the noise, you're going to also be buying it.

 

So glad I prioritized titanika and Oberon over dicamus and turben. Strike and obsidian make an excellent pair with my fanshobby mb-03a megatron

 

I find it funny that when figures don't sell out within minutes they're deemed failures....

 

I got a Titanika through a board member. I am very happy with her. She will be in my collection a long time. I would love a Commotus/Turmoil though but dont want to shell out the ebay prices when he comes up. Surprised they havent already announced a 2nd run for Nickel and the Pet since the preorders for that sold out everywhere.

 

I kinda wanted Titanika, but she was just more than I was willing to pay. Obsidian was a definite grab over the Whirl version, and while the clear parts still worry me a little, I love the figure. Commotus is another I'm glad I picked up. It's sad to see that MMC feels like these arent worth revisiting for people who missed out.

 

Failure is a point of view. Titanika is well liked, by the MMC members, and those who own her, and admire her. Sale, is a separate factor. MMC just can't go "Ok factory, go make another 500 pieces now". They first need to look at all the variables to make a second run happen. That includes looking at factory time, what upcoming projects would have to be pushed back from release. What projects need to have their funding diverted from, to make the second run happen? Which retailers are willing to order the second run? Will they order the same quantities, or less? Will the sales from the first release impact their ordering decisions? Will certain retailers simply not even consider ordering any? Plus beyond other factors. Then there are the fans. A lot of people who want her, right now, may change their mind, by the time MMC can make a second run happen. Or they may not have the funding. MMC has been around for 10 years. They know how heavy of a weight it is, to make a decision like making a second run. If the factors aren't heavily considered, and thought out, it can cost them big time, and affect the rest of the brand's projects, and their employees.

 

I really regret selling this figure back when I was in financial need. It was a great figure

 

I already own one, but I'd love to see her get reissued just so more people have a chance to get one. She's fantastic and probably one of, if not my favorite MMC figure. Solid and hefty with a great transformation. Wonderful take on Strika.

 

She’s great, but her shoulders and arm articulation make her miss the “perfect” mark. I’m so intrigued by the design process. Like, they had to ship her, and someone had to say with the prototype, “yeah she’s great but she can’t move her arms above her head without moving a bunch of stuff around.”

 

I'd get a second just because I messed up the knee on mine, or rather, the rotating part at the knee cap. It popped off, looks like Super glue could fix it, or maybe clear nail polish. It doesn't look like it was adhered on but it doesn't stick on like it used to to the peg there.

Thats pretty much what I use her for. In the IDW comics Elita1's ship was basically all fembots excepts for Obsidian (which I considered like a eunich). So all the MMC fembots I got are her crew with Strika and Obsidian her elite guards. Wish I could have found the tfcon exclusive blue fem...but she was too pricey.

 

Is there no one here willing to sell or trade for this figure at all? I really need her...

Only 2 I have seen in months. She's kind of a rare figure. Especially now. Everyone who wanted one picked them up from the retailers and MMC has no plans to re-release her. She isn't as popular as the DJD, HotRod, Whirl, Drift, and Megatron figures.

 

Someone on Facebook was selling a loose one without the box for $350. Everyone laughed at him... til it sold. Then they just got angry.

 

The only 1 I am laughing at is the guy on ebay who has Kultar (Tarn) for $2000. That's not a typo ether. LOL

Same. I was lucky to get one from a board member a year ago...and I won't sell her. She's part of my Carcer crew with Obsidian, and the MMC Fems. Just need to get astriks Azalea to complete them. Would love to find a commotus too, but he's another just too far out of my price range now.
