I’m looking for a new Strika to go with Obsidian, any mold recommendations?

I’m gonna be painting her so colour doesn’t matter and I’m not opposed to headswaps. I was thinking Leader Armada Megatron from CW, I want her to tower over Obsidian (T30 Springer mold) and I could cut the antlers off and some of the desired colours are already there.

Any other suggestions?

Yeah but that’s the go-to for Strika. I want to break tradition a bit.

 

I'm very happy with the Strika I made from the Jia Qi "Rook-alike" figure (looks like a Rook KO but has none of his engineering).

Does this count? I repurposed a copy of Battlemaster Firedrive as Nebulon for my Ricochet, who just arrived yesterday.

 

I missed the size requirement, so my suggestion is also too small. Maybe the Wei Jiang oversized Hot Spot? It should be about leader-sized and replacing the ladder with a gun platform might work for the alt mode.

 

I was going to use Ricochet (who I have no attachment to) at various points as Armada Wheeljack or Go-Bots Crasher, but I think I settled on using him as my stand-in for Jallguar. He looks remarkably similar to the toy even if the vehicle mode is a dune buggy (it's still a race car, so it's not THAT far off). His head is even the same color scheme as the toy head AND it has the requisite cat ears, so I can't just ignore that.

Now I need to find a way to get Deathcobra in. I don't suppose anyone knows of a simple way to get helicoptor blades that attach via 5mm port?

I think I decided that G2 Siege Sideswipe makes a better Armada Wheeljack.

 

Power core combiners has a helicopter with 5mm ports forget which one.

 

Hahah, I finally remembered that exact part comes with the upcoming new Siege Springer figure, although I'm not sure I want to go THAT far with it. To be fair Springer would still be left with a useable car mode and perhaps even more so Deathcobra would be better off co-opting Springer entirely, if my purpose wasn't to at least attempt a CW-style figure (I would've just gone with one of the usual coptors if one were readily available, but it's sometimes more fun to go with what you're working with)

 

Newest addition to my ongoing wreckers is emirate xaaron. When reading through his wiki it makes mention that his initial appearances make him look like a yellow megatron with a grey head, so I figured what better repurpose than destructicon bludgeon, a yellow megatron with a grey head. Even has the added bonus of turning into a tank (which xaaron supposedly does as well). It’s like this figure was made to be xaaron. I scraped off the Decepticon tampograph on his chest and replaced it with an autobot sticker

I've been thinking about this a lot... so I want to make a custom of Energon Optimus with the Prime Force and I already have a rough idea for one of the vehicles (Copter 2) but I don't know who else to use to make the other 3 members.
I plan on using Combiner Wars/Power of the Primes figures.
Energon Optimus will be a repaint of Voyager OP, and Copter 2 (who I have yet to assign an official name to) will be using the Alpha Bravo mold.

Any ideas or suggestions for who else I could use?

 

Digger e was a drill tank right? Then any variation of Takara nosecone/hasbro nosecone/drillhorn/or the botcon guy would be a good fit, the sub could also be the copter mold if you remove the rotor

 

The Vortex figures from the CW G2 Bruticus and Baldigus sets are mostly blue. As Tigatron said you could remove its rotor to make a blue submarine figure.

The hardest one will be the Fire Engine limb. Maybe Rook with an orange paint job and some 3D Printed addons like a a ladder...

And if you use Takara's Nosecone, That would actually give you a nice balance... 2 Alpha Bravo molds and 2 Rook molds.

Duh, G2 Swindle is orange... you could use him as a base for the Fire Engine limb. Makes it easy... just buy a G2 Bruticus set for Vortex and Swindle. Sell off the other parts.

 

Could Generations Scoop be repurposed as G1 Knockout? Their heads are almost identical.



And could the Titanmaster that comes with Ramhorn pass for G1 Landfill?
