That has never ever happened though. Once we see a proto on display, there have not historically been any changes.

I'm glad I actually saw pictures of this before reading that it was MP-48. I would've been really disappointed if I was waiting to see the thing for a while and got my expectations up, because this isn't that great.

Cool to see so many people excited for this release, but I'm not one of them. Was never a Beast Wars fan, and know next to nothing about the Japanese series other than they exist. Is this guy Second or Neo? Glad to see TT hitting up different sources for their MPs, hope my favorites get their light of day soon. G1 folks, y'all have 3P to flesh out basically everything. Takara knows this, and is likely why they've mostly stuck to revamped versions of earlier characters, repaints, and Hound. I get brand loyalty, but Jazz ain't coming, get Downbeat. Cliffjumper ain't coming, get Toros (or whoever is the best one, idk). As for this figure, neat. Lion arms are a bit unsightly, accurate as they may be. Would've liked if they could at least fold up flush against the arm, rather than that protruding angle. Lack of fur detailing doesn't bother me, he looks right at home next to the similarly flat MP Primal repaint, and looks pretty anime. Can't wait to see who's next.

My god, this looks perfect. Whereas most people were Big Convoy back in the day, I was always a diehard Lio Convoy guy. This really came from left-field, But is very appreciated.

Needless to say I would get one. I almost pulled the trigger on BWN Heinrad a few weeks ago, but he's just too big to display him alongside the other Neo figures.

I want him, but I don’t want him. Based on this one beast mode image alone, the lion doesn’t look the way I wanted it to, probably because I have more attachment to the toy than the show. But who knows? I may still get him, if I can afford him.

I do like the robot mode though. Oddly satisfying anime proportions.
