Try to get Prof X for msrp and the report back I tried with Chrome, Safari, Firefox...took months and dozens of tries before I finally secured one.
Same thing. It will show msrp, sold by amazon. I click add to cart and it says my cart is empty. Bottom line, their stock isn’t always accurate. It would explain why they cancel so many preorders too. Good thing is they usually get a lot of restocks.
Amazon stock in general can be a bit maddening, yeah. Got an email not too long ago saying Amazon US had to cancel my Siege Red Alert preorder due to no stock being available, forcing me to put in one at Amazon Japan. A week later, Amazon US showed Siege Red Alert available for preorder again. Oy. Of course, I can't cancel my AJ preorder now. Ditto with some Star Wars Black Series figures. I've since added Walmart's site to my toy buying source rotation. Back to SHF, still wondering when SHF Scarlet Witch, Agent Coulson, Loki, and Nick Fury open up for preorder.
Isn't AJ usually cheaper for stuff like Transformers? Also, Walmart is known to do similar as far as cancelling orders but it hasn't happened to me much.
Usually it is but I live in Japan so everything gets an additional 10% consumption tax (used to be 8%), so that sometimes negates any savings over getting the U.S. version of the same figure. In the case of Masterpiece, AJ is almost always the way to go. But for stuff like Classics/Siege and Studio Series, American retailers usually win out especially now that Legends is done and with brand unification, Classics and movie toys are the same on both sides of the Pacific. With Figuarts, AJ again is typically the lowest price. Only sometimes will Bluefin port something over but include some effects parts to increase the price as a trade-off. So I shop around.
Gotcha! I didn't realize TF's were the same now whether you get TT or Hasbro. For SHF, my preferred store is still NY as I've noticed their initial preorder pricing is still the lowest and I always try to bundle up and use ferry shipping but AJ has become a major contender.
The prices aren't that far off until you hit Commander class. I've been importing Siege out of spite...micros $12, deluxes $23, voyagers $36, leaders $56. If you went with BBTS you were looking at $11, $22, $33, $55. Before shipping anyway. Jetfire was where it went off the rails ($80 vs $118) and I had to go with BBTS for Omega Supreme in anticipation of something like $225 vs $160.
I really have to stop being so damn lazy and package up the DBZ Figuarts I plan to sell. I guess I really don't want to sell them off despite needing to.
Picked up the Cowboy Bebop Spike at Barnes and Noble today with a 15% off coupon. I hope they make more figures from the series.
Thanks man! I appreciate the detailed review on the figures pros and cons. I didn’t realise the big feet until I read your post. I find the shoulders on the new Broly better - not so big. But the hair colour is putting me abit off. It’s looks light neon green and the furry like shirt around his waist. Other than that, it looks a sick figure!
A Faye Valentine would be long overdue. Spike and Vicious keep getting figures made of them but rarely Faye. It's weird, especially for a femme fatale and relatively popular character (at least back in the day) like her. I could see Jet Black and Radical Edward (with Ein) being harder sells but I hope the rest of the main cast gets made too, but knowing SHF Bandai's habit of not finishing out character line ups, I have my doubts, sadly.
Heads up that preorders for the new SH Figuarts Star Wars figures are open: A New Hope Darth Vader: https://www.amazon.co.jp/S-H-フィギュアー...ィギュアーツスターウォーズ&qid=1560748095&s=gateway&sr=8-1 A New Hope Stormtroopers (max limit purchase of 3): https://www.amazon.co.jp/S-H-フィギュアー...ィギュアーツスターウォーズ&qid=1560748095&s=gateway&sr=8-2
