QFT A breach due to you is on you. A breach due to a friend is potentially a friend lost forever. Not worth the risk, IMHO.
I don't think Eknight will cancel orders this time. Somebody (here or from another forum) contacted them and verified that they have enough units that's why they're relisting it. Or are there any other reasons why they will cancel your order?
It's not just that. Not trying to say anyone here is bad, but it's a known fact that a lot of identity theft comes from people you know. If you give them the chance to, you're really just asking for it. Even in corporations, it's a standard safety practice to never ever share your login information with anyone even if it's just to your workstation. No matter how trustworthy your friends may be (or even family), it is never a risk you should take. Working in the financial sector, you get to see some shit that either surprises you, shocks you, or just makes you shake your head when it comes to risks like these. Sometimes when it is perceived that you "could have" allowed a family member or friend to access your accounts (meaning they think you purposely gave them permission to conduct a transaction on your behalf), it can make it all the harder for you to dispute the charges. I've seen some folks get their accounts cleaned out with little to no recourse for recovery. If you've worked hard to build up even a tiny bit of wealth, then you should never allow anyone to even touch it especially when they should have no business doing so. Family, or friend. Ok enough of the soap box. Hope everyone stalking TCP is able to get one
Very well stated Dark Skull. I can't with my new job. Phones have cameras on them and I will be dealing with private information. Personal electronics are locked up in personal lockers. By the time I get to it on a break, TCP would be sold out already. None of my local friends are into what I am into. They won't be able to handle this. Great friends, just not the kind that understand how difficult it is to get these things. They're more into cell phones, computers, and video games. My online friends are great, too,, but no, not going to allow access to an online retailer. I'm not familiar with EKnight, which is partly why I am uncomfortable. They have a Closing Date for preordering GX-88, which is Sunday IIRC. All I can do is hope for the best, and if they cancel at least I know ahead of time that this is a possibility and just accept it. No disrespect to EKnight, but I trust TCP, Toy Dojo, and BBTS far, far more.
Send @ToyDojo an email, he's a great guy looked out for me and help me get all my stuff while I was on rotation to EU
Could be military, depending on where you work they make us leave our phones and watches outside the work area
I hope this is correct. It just doesn't seem like that pre-order should still be active when giants like BBTS and the like sold out so quickly. I got in on the second round of pre-orders from them, so I'll be crossing my fingers that I don't get the email that they oversold again like they did with the GX-71.
That's a good point, never thought of it that way. I will say that they were good to deal with during the GX-71 pre-order in that they listened to customer feedback on how to handle the oversell and adjusted accordingly. I'd like to think that they have countermeasures in place by now to prevent something like that from happening again.
Yeah, BBTS is pretty much known to everyone in the collecting community while I never heard of eknights or some of the smaller stores before.
Anyone able to get a preorder of SOC Dairugger at GameStop? Someone in this thread was able to get the SOC Golion rerelease preordered through them but I forgot their name.
Anyone in the US still looking for GX-71? Never heard of them. Bandai Tamashii Nations Soul of Chogokin: GX-71 - Voltron
Never heard of them but their feedback rating on Amazon is really good: Amazon.com Seller Profile: Sure Thing Toys From what I can see, Amazon fulfills those orders, so it's not a perfect gauge, but I'd give them a shot.
Do they allow preorder cancellation? Not that I plan to but I did not see it in their policy section.
just add it to your cart. go look at your cart . on the right side of the screen: Pre-Order Policy: Sure Thing Toys requires full payment at the time of your order. Finally finished putting together my Voltron MiniPla. What a neat little figure with insane articulation. In hindsight, I wish I had a hobby knife laying around to trim off the plastic flash instead of filing it for a cleaner look, but I'm not gonna beat myself up over it. Here's a few fun shots I took outside today.
Looks good, man! Do you have a pair of sidecutters? They work pretty well for snipping parts off of the tree. You still need to file or cut a bit off, sometimes, but they do most of the work for you. At any rate, you did a nice job. Keep him out of the sun, don't get him wet and, most importantly, don't feed him after midnight.
