Mirage looks ok to me. Will be getting him as well as Impactor.

 

I thought that Mirage looked better than the other Deluxes at first but all that translucent plastic is terrifying plus he looks like he is going to be too wide and beefy just like Prowl and Sideswipe. This line is a tremendous disappointment.

 

Well, now I need an Energon Prowl head so I can re-do Mirage to go with my Ironhide that I'm converting to Inferno.

 

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, Mirage's alt. mode really doesn't quite hit that "cybertronian but still clearly homaging the '84 alt. modes" the way that of Siege Prime, Prowl or Ironhide does. I think the bot mode and the transformation will be fun enough for me to compensate for it, but I too would've preferred HasTak to go more in either of the two directions a little harder for this particular figure.

 

I really like Mirage. Finally a damn shoulder cannon.

I agree the that Cybertronian look for the alt modes is very hit and miss. But I think all of the alt modes look good and fit the characters except Soundwave's, which just doesn't really look like anything. Then you have the Micromasters... Clearly this line developed out of something else originally as all the pieces don't fit. They changed directions with this line, whatever comes next likely won't have these issues.

 

I’m just happy they committed to giving Mirage his traditional weapon set. Gun, missile launcher and missile. I hated how they cheaped out on Sideswipe by not giving him a gun, Prowl for not giving him his rocket launchers and Hound for not giving him a missile...

 

Prowl not having shoulder launchers makes sense though since they’re going for the cartoon look

 

Lolol. Got me hyped at first.

 

I'd rather say original voyager sized triple-changer mold.
