I used 91% alcohol to get it off megatron and optimus prime. Work great but be careful use a q-tip and cover spots with paint you don't want to lose.

this is very true! I have both of those and my pipes is modified to LOOK a little more like g1. But I would replace them in a heartbeat if they made new ones that looked the part...

Likely online shops like BBTS or Kapowtoys will have listings for that regardless of exclusivity.
But yeah, I never liked the Universe molds much for those. Hated the doors on Prowl and co, especially... dumb design with how the sides of the hood are part of the door, and they pop off all the time. Not to mention the sticky paint on the Takara versions that smudged as I touched the roof. :(

I was told by people ages ago that the Red Cross does not allow it on toys, apparently. Dunno when that changed, as a kid I had tons of Matchbox ambulances, plus there is Rest-Q...

Because in SIEGE story line, they still do not comes to earth so a red cross symbol means nothing on Cybertron and is unknown, I guess so.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.
If toyhax does make set for ratchet I hope they make the cross have a stylized cybertronian look to it.
That would make more sense than the normal red cross look.

I'm sorry y'all feel that way. But honestly, for me, Battle Damage really adds to the character to make them more than just toys. Especially Megatron, Soundwave, Optimus....they really look like they've been a war for Cybertron.

I hope they improve the paint, but I wouldn't want Battle Damage to EVER leave this line.

I agree with you. The battle damage paint grew on me, goes with the whole "WAR" idea, and looks really good.

Why not just release the same damn figures, looking exactly like they do every release? We've been seeing that since 84...

I'm bored with G1. I like the fresh takes on these guys and the damage paint looks fantastic. Get over it.

    Nope.

I dig the BD honestly, especially the consistent, tampo'd on grime and scratches.

Its funny you say that, I had a meetup at my house this last weekend and one of the guys brought over his mft huffer and pipes, I put them on the shelf with the rest of my legends guys, and the proportions are too off for my tastes, mainly the heads...
I appreciate the fact that you listed a couple of options for me though! :rock

I went a step further and got rid of all the "extra" red he didn't need and ended up with what a Takara release would have looked like. They probably wouldn't do they red crosses, but I wanted to see how it would look.

I even cleaned off the battle damage paint on the legs.

It's weird they made the waist/crotch white. Ironhide mold has a different molded color plastic for that part, so it's not like it is a cost cutting thing?
