Is it just me or does Impactor\'s face looks different and worse compared to the earlier pictures?

 

Not the brick wall spoiler?? I'm in disbelief that that's how they decided to do it. Looks very rushed. Faux chest doesn't help, I wish they went back to the drawing board with this one.

Actually looks better to me.

 

I like how there is a convenient place to mount some forearm hatches - hopefully there is enough space in the transformation to allow for them to fit on the toy and still transform.

It's interesting that Impactor has two shades of yellow on his chest too.

 

This. I really don't see anything to complain about on Mirage at all. Most of the negative comments seem to stem from his alt mode (in particular, the spoiler) not looking quite like it should or not being in the "proper" proportion/location as opposed to what it's intended to be: a Cybertronian alt mode with liberties taken from the Earth mode for the sake of character recognizability as a vehicle. The last thing I want is for it to so closely resemble the Earth alt-mode counterpart that it's not even worth calling it a Cybertronian mode in the first place. I'm not saying that it's going to be aesthetically pleasing to everyone, but I think the designers did a great job with what they were going for.

 

Definitely doesn’t look good, but it somehow looks a bit better in the newer one.

That\'s a really nice looking Mirage, but I\'m hard pressed to go with it over the almost perfect Generations figure.

 

Mirage looks good, I'm digging the transparent blue plastic, I kinda wish he had even more transparent plastic to pull off the effect a little better. Wow they put Impactor in the most unflattering pose. Those massive leg holes are on full display.

While not G1 (& I’d much rather take a Straxus remold), I could really easily see Impactor remolded into Cybertron Defense Scattorshot with minimal new molding. Just swap the head, change the tank turret/arms and chestpiece around & you’re pretty much set!

 

Mirage looks pretty great in robot mode. While I wish he had some wrist swivels, at the very least his ankle posability seems to be on point. As someone who's a casual admirer of racing cars at best, the alt. mode looks close enough to me, though I can see how a conoisseur of formula-1 vehicles could pick it apart, like the forearm-spoilers.

Poor Impactor's still the weakest link here, though the awkward pose he's put in here also doesn't do him any favors. Still gonna get him probably, since he's the first official character of the figure that isn'r a repaint or remold (as far as I can tell anyways).

 

Not really liking either of these. This just makes me more salty that Wheeljack lost..

 

Now we just need CD Red Alert and we’ll be good to go on a boxed set!

Mirage is really the tipping point for me, i wish this line would commit to doing either full Cybertronian modes or full G1 pandering. Like its just weird to me that we have Starscream and the seekers looking like tetrajets, but then Mirage is just a mostly earthy looking race car. Can you imagine if they made him a slick needle like space dragster? He looks fine, just not really

I know we got a bunch of the big hitters in the TR line, but just more Powermasters in general would be super fun. A leader triple changer Double Dealer would be amazing, put him in the same wave as that rumored leader Astrotrain and we got ourselves a party! (As much as I know there's no hope in hell i guess i just want another Overlord because the TR one felt so close yet so far.)

 

I like how, because of the transformation, Mirage has horizontal butterfly joints

 

Impactor looks nice
But mirage needs little more paint and face sculpture

 

I'm liking Impactor and Mirage quite a bit and I'll be picking up both in September! Preordered on Amazon!
