I understand about the kibble and backpack, but what's wrong with the articulation?! I think it's better than what we have with MPM 4.

 

I feel its mainly the ratchet joints are abit too far apart? I tried posing him but he always looks too spread out, especially the thigh and hips, looks like he's stretching his legs too far out. He reminds me of MP-01, looks good, but severely limited articulation and poseability. With the MP-01 its because of the die cast that hinders the leg articulation. I don't have the MPM 04 so i can make a comparison on that.

 

Man i have the FP Shadow Commander and i'll second that. He does not age well, especially with how flimsy his head and chest attaches to Nemesis Prime's body and how the tab and hinge for the BFG bazooka always comes apart on mine.

 

Oh ok, to me it's the other way around though, the lack of ratchets is what prevents me from picking MPM-4 up.

Yeah i can see how some might be turned off with figures not having ratchet joints. If I do pick up the BMB or Wei Jiang Bayverse Op i'll make a more objective comparison between both moulds and see how they hold up.

 

While I don't doubt you, you've never purchased a figure of a character and found one released later that was better than the first version of said figure?

 

Tracks. There isn't another option for him at this point but I'm hopeful someone will put out something so I can ditch the lousy Takara one. Hopefully Fans Toys or MMC put one out at some point.

 

FT Willis will hit the chopping block soon but I learned my lesson selling Sphynx too soon and seeing the Cell repaint get pushed back. And back. And back. And back.

Hmm, not many really. A lot of the ones I'm unsatisfied with are the only real options at the moment, but of those that I can replace:

FT Willis (for TT Hound)
Badcube Brawny (for FT Hunk, if they sort the colours)
TT Streak (with the + version)

I'm on the fence about swapping MP-21 for MP-45.

I would potentially swap out some of my third-party minibots if better versions come along, but I'm pretty happy with most of them to be honest. Can't think of a single Decepticon I'm itching to replace. I think this is largely due to the fact I don't tend to settle in the first place; I pay more for what I want or hold out for a better version if I know there's one coming. Case in point, I don't have Springer, Kup or Blurr, because I know that XTB and FT have better looking versions in the pipeline.

Doubt much will end up on eBay or be sold though. I don't like losing money, so they'll probably go in an alt mode display.

Yeah, I sold and then had to re-buy Quakewave - though I was able to get a better coloured version in the process. So there's that.

Fwiw my MP Bumblebee is staying right where he is. MP-10's future looks OK for now but he should start worrying if and when Takara announce a + version of MP-44.

 

I'm a Legends guy, so I've already replaced Hot Soldiers Soundwave and MFT Shockwave with the Pocket Toys dx9/IF smaller versions. I'm replacing Hot SOldiers Prime with MS Prime.

And right now I'm side-eyeing my HS ratchet and IronHide to be replaced by the NA versions.

I'm mulling over possibly hoping NA will make a better Sideswipe (esp. for his alt-mode) but at the same time wondering if my NA datsuns will be pushed off the bot shelf into alt display when the MS arrive.. or not. Don't know. Same with my IF Mirage, (soon to arrive I think) Hound, Wheeljack, if they'll last past any MS/NA versions to come.

My GT Megs may or may not survive NA's version.
Will I get the MS Seekers, of just Starscream, to replace my Pocket Toys? They'll probably be too big depending on previous decisions.

Man, I have BINS of stuff I can't even bother to put on display. I think about selling it all like daily.

 

Look at my sales thread lol. I'm unloading almost all of my third party figures except for my Last Stand Of The Wreckers figures and a few others.

 

Kinda surprised that people are selling off Willis. I don't have him, so I don't know how he is, but Hound's floating head is a huge turn off.

 

Thinking about letting go of my Cesium. I've also often thought about letting go of all my decepticons just to simply and make space.

 

I love War Dog. I really want more realistically sized alt modes. Still hoping one day for a Treds repaint. And a damn Police Sunsurge!!!

 

I am thinking of cutting back the collection again. There's only about 50 of them but I want less. Not to be replaced. Among those on the chopping block:

Those are all great toys. Fantastic toys. But they are not big big favorite designs or characters. They can be removed entirely, them and a bunch of others. I am testing it right now. If I can put them into a box for a month and not miss them too bad, they're gone.

And I just got a few tiny Legends Transformers from New Age and Magic Square and I'm starting to think maybe I should do this all differently. Instead of having a bunch of large Masterpiece toys and just a few tiny Legends, maybe I should have a bunch of tiny Legends, and just a few big Masterpieces.
