Last I remember, Red Cross looses their shit over it so it doesn’t really matter IMO.

Not liking Ratchet as much as I expected; liking Bluestreak a lot more than I expected (even with that bad pose, the colouring makes the mould look a lot better than Prowl).

 

Inevitably, I'd have preferred that they used the comic coloring on Ratchet's head, but I think the thing this could have really benefited from was some grey plastic on the thighs and biceps, if only to break all that white a up a bit. He just looks a bit...cheaper than Ironhide. The lack of silver in the chest cavity adds to that. Not a premium deco. Nonetheless, I shall dutifully buy it like the little slagbag I am.

Bluestreak looks sweet though! Might be the best use of that mold. Provided he gets a right shoulder.

 

Wish we had a better view of the "hammer"/missile launcher.

The launcher is closer us than the robot's hand, so it makes you think it is the end of a hammer, like Ironhide's. But there's other stuff going on there too.....

If his card is to be believed, it can peg over his shoulder like Ironhide's can

Maybe it\'s that lame posing but Ratchet looks underwhelming. I can\'t pinpoint exactly why....

No thanks. The less of Hasblo's amateurish battle damage, the better. However, some more paint apps would be welcomed.

Amazing how a little more red would help

 

Between late October to early December, depending on where you live. Same sort of time as Siege started last year, I presume.

 

You're mighty quick to blame Hasbro. TakaraTomy is in on it too, don't forget.

 

But the original version, to which Takara "copied" the paint scheme from, is from Hasblo. The Takara versions are just the Hasbro versions with stickers on the boxes, most of the time these days.

 

Do we know this for a fact though? I'm kinda skeptical, honestly. Battle damage sounds too Japanese-y. Anime figures feature that kind of stuff far more often than Western figures.

 

Ratchet is really white. I’m surprised they didn’t just use the same tooling as Ironhide, replacing the red with white & grey with red. I like him though.

 

I think what\'s throwing me off is the face sculpt I\'m so used to Ratchet being the growchy old medic at this point, and his face is so young, with nothing emotive about it. 

 

While not surprising, I wish they put some form of medic symbol on Ratchet. Even a made up symbol would get the point across.
