Well maybe they just wanted to pursue their dreams.

 

They're free to, but doesn't mean any of us have to partake in their dreams... My personal opinion, people would be more willing to get into random, original designs if they were at retail toy prices. But who wants to pay premium 3rd party prices for something none of us have any attachment to? Part of what sells these stupidly priced toys is the attachment we have to the characters they represent. Without that, hell no I'm not dropping 50-100+ on some random-ass figure.

 

I already do that and I don't have attachments to any of my figures! Not everyone buy things based on their feelings towards the characters they represent... Some of us just buy cool looking transforming figures.

Currently working on customizing my 2nd copy....I'll post pics when he is done and put back together.

Well I just finished putting him back together.... Still not 100% done, but you get the idea. The new one is the one on the right. I widened his mid section and like the first one, I thickened his thighs ( not as much as the first one tho). Finally, I have him a cartoon accurate paint job.

 

Fair enough, but you do realize you're an outlier, right? A couple hundred die-hards isn't going to sell a line of anything, 3rd Party or not...

Yeah I know I am of the few who collect only "cool stuff". Most people here are nostalgic in some way or another.

 

I’m nostalgic for cool stuff. Mainly cool stuff I never got but I want now cause it looks cool. But also I just want to buy things that look cool.

 

Are those KFC MP Sideswipe hands?
What did it involve to get the stock hands off and the KFC hands on?
Do the new hands hinder transformation?

 

I hope we get a G2 repaint soon. Badcube has been laying low since Steamroll and Recon were released.

 

The stock hands are on mushroom pegs, so they are easy to pull off. As for the KFC hands for them to fit you need to file down the mushroom peg until the hands fit.
With regards to transformation they do not hinder it although the fit is not perfect. you may need to position the fingers in a specific way when transforming him so that everything fits just right.

I would love that as well, but I highly doubt we will ever see a recolor of this moment. It does make me sad as there are two versions I would love to see of this mold. I would love to see a g2 version and a toy accurate version with the door wings.
