Transformation, if yo take into account the two minor mods to Overheat is actually fun. I enjoyed Deathwish most out of all of them to be honest.
My problem now is this: they look so good, that I'm not sure whether I'll keep them in combine mode or bot mode.

And yes, they have their issues. But I don't regret going with them one bit.

I have an issue with Deathwish's knee ratchets: The ratchet joints at the knees are way tighter than the friction joints at the knees. And on one side was so tight that, after I finally got it to bend, it no longer ratcheted. I may have to ask for replacement parts.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

I'm guessing he still has NO IDEA what the final cost will be.
With BOTH Gravestone and Monolith going back to the drawing board, he has no idea of a parts count, paint, assembly, NOTHING.

Granted, it would be nice if he would just tell us that, but I understand why he would shy away from it and ignore the questions until
he has a better grasp on what the actual answer is.

I thought Monolith was being tweaked in that the faux shells were being reduced/scaled back. I'm seeing a lot of comments saying that Gravestone and Monolith are being redesigned/overhauled and I'm curious where that info came from, because I don't remember it.

Yeah that makes sense. I still don't like it though. For a combiner where your first purchase becomes worthless if you don't buy all the rest of them, all of this stuff should be figured out from the get go.

I got mine last night.
I'm happy to see comments about Dragstrip's back and gun because I thought I was just a dumdum. Now to find the mod suggestions!
I also have weird chipping on Deadend's legs, but I thought maybe that was my fault. The leg transformation (on both of them) is tricky, and I know the exact moment that Deadend got scuffed.

In any case these guys are real beauties.

I'm just going to try my best once mine come in to be as delicate as possible while watching 598 Robots's Transformation process on his youtube.

If I break mine even ever after carefully transforming it while watching how the designer himself transforms it, then... idk. I got problems and may need a new set of hands. Maybe KFC can help with that. :lol

I mentioned the other day how these had overtaken the Dinobots as my fave team. After messing about with Grinder recently I decided to put them all together minus the too small Soar.....

PicsArt_06-13-07.36.52.jpg

It's that cheesy question again. If you could only keep a handful of figures what would they be? Dinobots and Stunticons hands down. No hesitation. Shockwave and Magnus too if I could get away with it but those above 110%. First pick is all 3p too. Imagine that.

If I could have shown this pic to 7 year old me I'd have lost my shit. Golden times indeed.

I didn't cancel all of my pre-orders, but I did ask for a refund of Deathwish, since I paid in full due to the email he sent out saying it was arriving anytime. But after it didn't ship and then I got the notice for Dragstrip, I paid that one too. Only dragstrip shipped. (slowly)

Show.Z has been doing good for a long time. he's probably just going through some growing pains. I would imagine he'll have the kinks worked out in no time.

The individual Carbots dont appear to have any combiner features. In fact for both XTB and FT the combined mode looks mostly like "Robot Frame that cars sit in" which is the least interesting way to do a combiner IMO.

With that in mind, I'm more than happy with FT's Motormaster and the XTB bots as a non combining team.

After the MMC IDW Fortress Maximus crowdfund, when the designer was able to give a precise quote of the final cost of the figure at the design stage, I cannot believe Xtb doesn't have estimates on how much Gravestone will cost. And I don't believe they are going to redesign him and the combiner parts from zero delaying its release by years with the remaining stunticons already out.

Well, Deathwish and Overheat split in half when you press the button on their waist.

Even using this oooold pic of mine. Predaking comes in at a smidge under 49cm to the top of his head (just remeasured)

View attachment 28302431

1cm is fuck all at this size.
Correct. 1 cm is not that big a deal when you're talking about these big boys.
I find it hilarious this 1cm talk got brought up again... i think people are reading/seeing 1cm in text and thinking 1in or something, which even at 20+ in combiners wouldnt be all that big a deal! But 1cm, thats about 1/3rd of an inch, talking eyes to mouth maybe on a combiner, big deal hahaha

Now 1cm in a Legends figure, that would be a different story haha

What are the two minor mods? Trimming his ass flap is one, what is the other? Did someone have a mod for the tight shoulder/tire piece?

yes, but Deathwish and Overheat are the arms and they separate in half to make the arms, it's not a qc problem. also Overheat has slots on the tail where the transmission would be that look like connectors for the combiner mode
