Been building my MG RX-78 3.0 at last, unfortunately the core connector piece from one of the feet to the leg seems to be missing. Had a look around and it seems I could get the plate, but it would end up costing me around £30+. Think I'll just try to model and 3D print a replacement, see how that goes.

Good luck.. sure it's not buried in the box somewhere?
    -

Cow Projects and Medical Degree jokes aside...

My bulk supply order came in. Scale Hobbyist's prices make it easier for me to order six jars at a time and get them in a sealed case. Gray Primer because you can never have enough, some of Testors black acrylic wash to try out as an alternative to Tamiya's Panel Accent and use on a dinosaur, and resupply the blue paint variety I wasted before deciding to say "F*** it and use only ONE color for Hi-Nu," and a couple of other colors because "why not."

    20190613_125835.jpg

Finishing what I started last night, and coating the molded piston parts in silver acrylic. Using the airbrush to do it works fine, but I want to improve on hand brushing it instead of relying on enamel.

I figured it would have been but it's nowhere to be seen. Checked around about everywhere else I can think of as well but no luck.

Sorry to hear that. have you tried checking out 商品販売案内-バンダイホビーサイト and then contact Gundam Replacement Parts
    ?

There's the "For Use in Japan Only" kit number (starts with an R), check that seven digit number to Bandai's inventory and then contact this guy with either the runner or part you need.

Yeah I checked that out, the runner is in stock but it would cost me almost as much as the whole kit. Will have to do that if making my own piece doesn't work out though.

My gf is the doctor, but I am a licensed Professional Engineer. Got a fancy framed certificate and one of those embossing seals to stamp drawings and everything. Sometimes I'll doodle something and sign-and-seal it (they officially become Drawings of Record) for lulz.

Also, due to lack of surgical credentials and understanding of anatomy, I've decided to just glue kibble onto a decent but bland Frame Arms rifle.

At least you've got a backup solution. Just in case, you can order just the part you need through this guy and he might cut you a break on price. Unless it was been purchased in the past 30 to 90 days, and has the Blue Fin Distributors sticker on the box, you can ask Blue Fin directly for a replacement runner.

Don't feel bad about lost parts, I just got the long story from a friend of mine building the 00 Qan[T] Full Saber. When he thought he accidentally lost the Forehead Sensor Jewel, turns out the "latchkey kid" (child with no guidance, apathetic, etc bad brat) he and his wife are babysitting during the day for a friend went into his work shop, after being told to stay out repeatedly, knocked the model over on purpose and when the part fell out he took it and flushed it down the toilet.. 12 years old with not a care for anyone was stupid enough to brag about it to his sister, who told their mother, who told my friend, and now they're taking $70 out of the kid's future allowance to pay him back for the price of the full kit. Karma's a b**** for Affluenza Kids.

And it still goes into the Records Archive in Alpha Centauri, down in the cellar past the sign that says "Beware of Leopard."

Can't wait to see it though.

Silver paint turned out well even though it mostly disappears under the bell bottoms. I did it in two coats, once to set the color and a diluted wash to hide my brush strokes.

    20190613_144404.jpg

Now I'm just setting up to paint the toes black, but my jar of Flat Black paint has a bad paper seal and it's starting to gel on me. So I'll blend it into a Tamiya jar with a fresh one.

Almost done with the Getter, he sure can stand dynamically. Painting the shin stripes and eyes really frustrated me.

And hes done. Having a wholly original anime look gives it a presence unlike my other Armageddon based Getters. Its got some oddities though, there's a keyed post for the shoulders, but not the hips. So the left leg like to drop off, as does the left forearm. The rubber soles help it feel more stable then I think it would be otherwise.

Good old fashioned 70's Super Robot in early 90's HG technology, you get what they can do at the time of their production. Still looking really good!

We'll just have to wait and see if Getter joins the INFINITISM! ranks after Mazinkaiser!

Need to touch up the paint on the front of the toes, but so far it feels sturdy, but the post from the hip into the thigh feels a little loose... typical RE/100 flaws begin to show.

    20190613_222349.jpg

Still going to be a nice companion piece with Sazabi!

Jagd's weapons are finished. I painted the dagger on the beam saber this morning along with the pistons for the feet and arms.

    20190614_004617.jpg

I really like the relief/keyhole molding on the shield for the Neo-Zeon crest, I wish they had done something similiar on Nightingale's chest crest but obviously decals were the economic way to go on that. No problem. Decals are in the mail!

..and then I realize, the Jagd is also another one of those Re/100 kits without a hand molded specifically with a trigger finger...

I could go for an Infinitism Jeeg with the right tweaks. And if I get a Getter, it'd have to be Black.

Well it's been a while, about 3 months, since my last build. Here's my latest pickup, and work in progress, MG RX-78-2 Ver. 3.

Still waiting to see any kind of Gunpla at the Tokyo Toy Show, but Bandai announced the next P.Bandai Exclusives. Some reissued SEED kits such as the Impulse's Sword and Blast variants, and now the Real Grade Perfect Strike.

    https://www.gundamkitscollection.com/2019/06/p-bandai-rg-1144-perfect-strike-gundam.html

As seen in this pic, It includes the newly designed parts for the Aile Striker Pack to accommodate the additional Striker packs and new battery extension as well as a Support system for balancing the weight on the Strike Gundam.

Now to see if this becomes the next exclusive Blue Fin sells directly..

meanwhile, for spits and giggles I went on Ebay and found an aftermarket clone of the MP-2 hands for the Jagd Doga. Cheaper than trying to get one of Bandai's MS Hand 1:100 sets...

Is the FMP Falke actually out yet or no? I really want to get at least two, one to use for a custom and one to build stock, but I want to get a better idea of the accessories and construction.

Isn't the base Strike Gundam one of the first RGs? I think something that unstable with all the weight of the perfect striker on it would be rather unenticing.
