    No reason. To be so angry that I don't enjoy the same version you do.

    I'm not angry, just confused. MHW is literally just classic Monster Hunter with the jank that made the series a chore removed, and while i'm enjoying Dauntless it is clearly early access as shit and needs a TON on work if it wants to match World.

    I'm hoping Lagiacrus and Aletreon will appear in Iceborne.

    I’d say Lagiacrus has a decent chance, if they’ve been taking the time to fix the leviathan skeleton issues. Hoarforst Roach might have a coastal component where Lagi can rule supreme. Tigrex is also confirmed to be found at the reach, be great if they had a fight :D

    Alatreon may depend whether or not they push Fatalis as the black dragon rep, if they want one at all.

    The E3 demo event has revealed some neat new twists and turns for Monster Hunter. For your consideration;
    -Raider Rides let you hop onto a small monster and search the locale for tracks. They're quick and easy to use, and they even let you get an instant jumping attack when you catch up to your target.
    -There's a free flying photo mode now, allowing you to snap some pics. Just make sure Teostra isn't about to supernova when you take a selfie with him :D
    -A Steamworks mini-game allows you to harvest delectable items, including armour spheres and powerful potions.
    -Multiplayer difficulties have been altered. Monster health now increases in accurate proportion to how many players you have, rather than scaling to an instant four-hunter level. In addition, should players quit, the monster's health will scale down to adjust for whoever's left.
    -The clutch claw lets you latch onto a monster and wound it, creating weak spots that take more damage. The trade-off is that monsters can easily knock you off, so wait for the right opportunity.
    -Tigrex and Banbaro were huntable opponents. Tigrex is as wild and strong as ever, able to damage you with its very roars. Banbaro is surprisingly challenging for a mere brute, using the rocks it crashes down to leave debris that limits your escape options.

    Barioth, apex of the Reach! More info now;

    -Tigrex is confirmed to be an invader, ala Deviljho.
    -There is another monster in the Hoarforst Reach, an unseen creature found lurking in the caves. Khezu? Gigginox? Something new? We'll soon see...
    -Velkhana is described to be dismissive of others, ignoring the player at first until they can finally deal enough damage to provoke it.
    -The MH team researched supercooling to add a layer of plausibility to Velkhana. That is to say, it is capable of exuding liquids that only solidify into ice under certain conditions, which allows Velkhana to form icy armour, create icy barriers and spires, so on and so forth.

    Seems that theory of the flagships on that anniversary poster being added to the game might be on the right track. I'd like that, 'cause it'd be a real treat for me to see Valstrax, Fatalis, and Seregios in World's build :D

    Take it with a grain of salt, may well be fake, but we got a claim of Zinogre in the game. To its credit, Zinogre is an obvious choice, being a popular flagship and the original fanged wyvern, and the Tigrex/Velkhana icons are accurate. Here's hoping for the good ol' thunder wolf.

    You know, that got me thinking, if you could have any monster join in World, any one you just dying to see, which one would it be?

    I would love to see the Gigginox and how it lives in an ecosystem amid other, more powerful creatures.

    The three additional subspecies have been revealed, with a fair few gameplay vids of them;
    Viper Tobi, with a paralyzing bite and a tail loaded with poisonous barbs. Found in the caves of the Reach, it's very acrobatic.
    Coral Pukei, who fires water like a fire engine on steroids. Find it in the Highlands, and mind the spit.
    Nightshade Paolumu, who combines great aggression with sleeping gases. It will haunt your dreams in the Waste...

    Bought it yesterday and did the first couple of missions. Like it so far, but haven't really decided between the bug glaive and the trick weapon axe.

    Is there no way to change the button layout though? I really hate the default assigned buttons.

    Good news and bad news

    Good news is, when the beta reappears this month, we'll have a chance to brawl with Velkhana. Said to be extremely tough, hard to kill ('specially 'cause you only got fifteen minutes), harder to punk with boulders but vulnerable to status effects. Keep an eye out for any additional surprises like Nargacuga was :)

    Bad news is, recent interview with the devs confirmed not all flagships will return. Lagiacrus, for instance, has been deconfirmed, poor chap :(

    Might have more than one trailer this month, so eyes open!

    Okay, I'm sure I'm missing something, but how do you use the glaive effectively? I generally love spear weapons, but I can't seem to use this one right.

    I beat the game with the glaive. Just keep jumping until you land on the monster, then whack away!
