So I didn't see a thread for these guys. Please merge if required.  

The wave 3 Siege Battle Masters bring us Caliburst and Smashdown.


Caliburst is as you'd expect him if you already have the other Siege Decepticon Target Masters. His black plastic seems a tad frosted on my copy, but maybe that's mold release that I need to wash off. I like how he looks with the other 'Masters, and their Titans Return partners. At first I didn't like that they don't have a spot to peg in more flush with the TR partners' alt modes, but then I realized their raised placement allows for 360° rotation, which I'll take. I wish he looked more like the original in gun mode, but the guns that Slugslinger came with do a really good job of that, so I guess I can let that slide.



Smashdown is a likeable little Robo-Minotaur. He's probably forever going to be paired with Ironhide, as his colour matches fairly well, and I like the association with the bull's head from the RID2001 Spy Changer Ironhide.

 

I do want that little hammer fella!

 

Nice! Did you find him in the wild or did you order online? If you found him, where'd you find him?

Smashdown review from him "Generations" War for Cybertron: Siege Smashdown Toy Review

 

I got mine at Silver Snail in Toronto, but I knew they were available because they were listed as shipping this week from Diamond Distributors. So theoretically any comic/hobby shop that is supplied by them would have gotten them in.

I will do that up when I get home tonight!

 

The Skrapnel in the pic is the Generations one, I can't remember if the POTP one had different colouring.

I have smashdown enroute from bbts. Looks a fun little figure.

 

mine is on it's way from Amazon. I agree, he looks like good addition to the collection

 

Finally got mine from Amazon pre-order. Wished that my pre-order Springer came with it. Springer is weeks from now. Smashdown was a last minute pre-order cos I read that the writers for the Siege story line intended Smashdown to be Wreakers mascot aka Springer companion.

It’s so simple with one over looked opportunity (the tail should have been made to fit Smashes hands for a weapon). Over all the uniqueness of the figure and how ell the weapon was exicuted really made me happy with this last minute order. Looks great in SixGun’s hands!

 

i wasn't really on board with the animal head on a humanoid body until the whole "mascot" thing came to light and now it's all i can think about.
