I just read that preview and it was...boring.

Has the rest of this rebooted comic been like that?

Seems like you are looking for an argument.

    All I said was,
which is impressive since you stated it's gone downhill since AHM. That would normally imply you may have stopped reading, since AHM ended years ago.

That was years ago. Obviously you haven't been deterred because you're a loyal fan, or continue to read in hopes your outlook will improve.

This is all just one simple observation, despite those who complain about how bad they feel IDW TF has been, they continue reading.

    Observation, nothing more.

Don't look for a fight when there is none to be had.

True. This is an even slower build, and the latest page seems the pace isn't picking up anytime soon.

Well the writer they hired is a Novelist so yeah slow build ups will be a thing.

There have been other comic writers who have also been novelists, however people like Brad Meltzer have more experience.

    Time will tell.

Why’d they hire a novelist for a comic book?

Had you done even a second of research on my commentary, I dropped the book completely during AHM. I waited in the wings for good TF fiction like every other fan on the site that didn't have their motivations questioned. I read the reviews, and to be frank I'm still on board with the slow burn. I'm fine with it. I'll take that over body horror action fests or virtue signaling commentary all day. I bailed on the Prime Wars Trilogy animations because they were so terrible, just like I did with the movies. When a fiction comes out, I give it a chance. The IDW reboot is exactly that, a totally different fiction. Some fans don't grasp that, while some do but hold the book to the standards of other books that aren't in the same place in development.

And for the record, YOU started this fight.

Still not seeing this "fight." You're arguing about an opinion. Had you read any of my posts, you would have seen we actually agree on the slow build.

Get over it and move on.

He will be reincarnated as a minion of Soundwave with his bro Frenzy.

I like Rubble as a character but my main gripe is his name.

I've noticed online that a lot of people think anything short of actually punching someone in the face is "passive aggressive." You directly told him that nobody else had his issue of not understanding. Nothing passive about it.

See, this is something I can get behind. I read Furman's Marvel G1 as a kid, and was hooked to each issue.
His work on Regeneration One may not have been his finest, but you knew the build was worth it.

I would have appreciated another run, but I don't believe IDW has plans for that.

That is the new thing. A lot of comic companies are doing this now, and the results are usually crap. You need someone like Neil Gaimen, who understands that there is a fundamental difference between the two mediums. This is rare, though, and most novelists make crappy comic writers, and vice versa.

On the other hand, you got people whose previous work was fanfiction.

So I read issue 7 and I think I know what's going on with Cyclonus.
